If all goes well, I am taking Jeff out for a special night for Valentine’s Day. He loves Flamenco dancing and music, and there’s a special performance at a local music hall in the next town. So, I will try to get myself looking more like myself for our big event!

Self-Care from City Beauty and Others
Being sick really got in the way of my self-care routine. I didn’t have any beauty products with me at the hospital, so after a few days, my friend Kim brought me some moisturizer, body cream, and eye cream to keep me going. To be honest, I really missed my Vega red light device, lol.
Not surprisingly, I missed my City Lips Clear the most. After a couple of days, I asked Jeff to search for it and bring it to me. He finally found it on my bathroom vanity. What a difference it made for my dry lips!
Since I am home again, I am trying to get back into a regular routine. One of my favorite products from City Beauty that I haven’t used in a while was my Multi-Action Sculpting Cream. I had a brand new jar that I bought during a recent sale, and I was so happy to rediscover it in my stash. It comes with a beautiful golden metal scoop to apply the cream, in order to keep the contents of the jar clean. Usually, I apply MASC along my jaw line to help firm it, but I have been applying it all over my face and neck. It’s terrific for firming as well as for hydrating my dry skin.
Several months ago, I mentioned that I switched to a more affordable IT Cosmetics Confidence in an Eye Cream 2% Super Peptide Cream. I love the IT Cosmetics Eye Cream for my eyelid and for my crow’s feet. It’s just the right consistency for that area – rich but not overly thick. However, I have gone back to using City Beauty Lid Lifting Eye Treatment on the skin above my crease. Honestly, there’s nothing like the spackle consistency of the Lid Lifting Eye Treatment for that particular area.
It’s worth it for me to use two or even three different eye creams on the skin around my eyes. In fact, during the day, I use Paula’s Choice C5 Super Boost Eye Cream to brighten the undereye area.
Although I stopped painting my nails recently, I have been trying to get myself back to applying Olive and June’s fabulous Nail Strengthener. The other night I was at my friend Laura’s house watching something on TV and having dinner, and she mentioned that she was surprised that I wasn’t wearing polish. I told her I just had so much going on that it was too much right now. Nevertheless, she said how long my nails looked even without polish. So, I guess the Nail Strengthener and the biotin tabs are still doing their job!
