Last night, I bought another tube of KORRES Foaming Cream Cleanser, my third. It’s perfect for my dry skin especially in the cold weather. And I bought one of their pricer plumping moisturizers that scored the highest of all their moisturizers (plus it was 40% off), Golden Krocus Hydra-Filler Plumping Cream. That brought the number of my points to $123, so I picked up two full size products (Black Pine 360 degrees Eye-Lift Super Serum and Elasti-Smooth Body Butter with Santorini Grape) with $38 in points still remaining. I love this!

In addition, I recommend yet again their Velvet Skin Drink, a clear, lightweight oil that is perfection! I have an extra one waiting in the wings from their last sale.

Artis Sitewide Sale

Artis’ Black Friday Shopping/40% off sitewide sale has already started. Since they don’t say on the website when it ends, I am guessing that it either ends on Monday, November 27, or maybe it goes through Cyber Week?

I may be one of the rare birds who still loves Artis makeup and skincare brushes, but there we are. I have a mini palm brush that I love, the Oval 6 brush, and a couple of smaller faux Artis brushes. I use them primarily to apply my foundation and occasionally my blush. I am trying to stay strong and not buy the Rose Gold Oval 6 Brush (regular price $65) because I don’t want to add on $9.95 to the 40% off sale price. For free shipping, you have to spend $90, and I can’t justify spending that much. Nevertheless, if you have some gifts to buy for Artis brush lovers, now’s the time to do it.

Laura Geller Sitewide Mega Sale

The big sale at Laura Geller Makeup is listed at “up to 60% off” plus another 15% off with code CW15. That sounds pretty good!

I had been seeing a lot of ads on TV and online for award-winning Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten Color Correcting Foundation, a very Laura Geller-like baked powder foundation. It’s supposed to be great for mature skin. So, I took a look at it online, and I came to my senses. Powder foundations are too drying for me now. Also, it has light-medium coverage. No, not for me.

Then, I listened to a short video with Laura Geller describing all the foundation options. Double Take Liquid Foundation sounded promising: liquid, medium to full buildable coverage, and on sale for $18.70 before the extra 15% off. Next, I needed to figure out my shade.

For me, the choices were Porcelain, Fair or Light. I was supposed to choose which model in the photos looked like my shade. The redhead who looked most like me was the Porcelain model, and usually Porcelain is too pale for me. The Fair model had skin that looked lighter than the Porcelain model (my computer screen, maybe?), so that confused me. The Light model’s skin looked too dark for me and too golden. I decided on Fair, but then I noticed the description of “Fair with warm yellow undertones”, and decided to forget it. I definitely do not want “warm yellow” undertones when I have “cool pink” undertones.

Then I decided to try their liquid, light coverage Better than Bare Tinted Moisturizer With SPF 50+. It sounded perfect to wear everyday doing errands or exercising outdoors, and it too was on sale for $18.70 minus the extra 15%. Unfortunately, when I tried to order, I discovered it was out of stock. Oh well, I tried, Laura! But if you are a deeper shade than Light (also sold out), check this tinted sunscreen out. It sounds well worth the sale price.

Sephora Sale Week

This year, I haven’t done much shopping at either Sephora or Ulta. The thrill is gone, lol, and I can usually do better price wise at some of the online retailers or through the brand itself. But occasionally, Sephora (and also Ulta) surprise me.

Sephora is having their Cyber Week Sale with products that are 30% off (different brands/products daily) and some of 50% off including Sephora Collection. Today, I noticed sales on Lancome, Belif, Milk Mascara (all varieties), indie brands of fragrance, Jouer, and more. Take a look! I’m wondering if I should go for the travel size Kayali Invite Only Amber perfume for $19? Nah, I’ll skip it.
