StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner and GIVEAWAY

November is National Skincare Month – I didn’t realize there was such a thing! For me, every month is skincare month. But I think it’s a good thing to rethink your skincare routine and also be sure you’re using sunscreen to prevent skin cancer.

So it’s a perfect time to talk about another great product from StriVectin. StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner. It is a moisturizer but Its key mission is to shrink enlarged pores. And I have read in their clinical trials that Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner has been shown to shrink the size of pores by 50%. That’s impressive!

Here’s what StriVectin has to say:

“New Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner is a lightweight daily pore-minimizing lotion and anti aging moisturizer with Retinol that delivers both instant and long-term visible pore reduction. 96% of subjects had an immediate improvement in visible pore size after a single application.** Patented NIA-114™ technology nourishes the moisture barrier to provide visible age fighting efficacy as it limits the sensitivity common to Retinol use. The powerfully effective blend purifies and refines both skin tone and texture, while delivering superior age fighting benefits.”

*Based on technician evaluation after 8 weeks of use.
**Based on technician evaluation.

Because I am fortunate not to have enlarged pores, I use the product primarily because of the 1% retinol. I need all the retinol I can get! Plus I love that it’s a moisturizer with built-in retinol. So I apply it either to my entire face to help with wrinkles and sometimes I dab it on my dark spots to try to fade them more. Because skin can burn more readily if using retinol, I tend to use StriVectin Advanced Retinol either at night or during the day along with sunscreen.

The product comes in a sleek silver and burgundy tube with a pump dispenser. It is a lightweight cream that sinks in immediately and leaves an almost imperceptible feeling on skin. It reminds me of a serum. However, the directions say to apply it as a last step. It has a very faint floral scent that goes aways almost immediately. Love this product!

Who is StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner for? I’d say anyone with enlarged pores, fine lines, wrinkles or dark spots. It’s a gender neutral product, and could easily be shared with or gifted to a spouse or significant other.

  1. In UK the Retinol is 2.5% available from the counter. 5% Retinol can be obtained from a doctors. I’very been using Retinol 2.5% based serum under a highly nourishing cream as I have a tendency to dehydration. My skin is dry to very dry but I love the effect Retinol has on it, especially in winter as I tend not to use it during summer to avoid sun spots x

As I get older, my pores have gotten larger & more visible. I feel like I’m just putting a bandaid on the issue by using pore refining primers – they don’t actually change my pore size, just clog them. I love that this contains retinol & actually works to reduce your pore size…
