I needed a quick, everyday look today, something I could do in less than 10 minutes. I wanted a light, fresh look. Also, I wanted to try out a couple of new products that have come my way:
- CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Primer: in a Target beauty box
- Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant Mascara: Sephora gift
- Eyeko Fat Liquid Eyeliner: Birchbox.
Here’s what I used:
Face
- CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Primer
- Tarte Colored Clay CC Undereye Corrector, Light/Medium
- Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15, #2 Sand
- Amazing Cosmetics Perfection Stick, Fair
- Stila Convertible Color Cheek Cream, Peony
Eyes
- Urban Decay Anti-aging Eye Primer
- Lancôme Drama Liqui-Pencil, Noir, tightline
- PUR Eye Polish base & shadow, Satin, $26
- Youngblood Cosmetics Vintage Quad, Syrah
- Eyeko Fat Liquid Eyeliner
- Jordana FabuBrow, #05 Soft Brown, $2.99
- Shiseido Lash Curler
- Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant Mascara
Lips
I liked all three of the new-to-me products that I tried.
- The CoverGirl All-Day Primer is a lightweight gel that smooths on easily and dries immediately. It left my skin soft, and it’s done a great job under my foundation. Seems like a nice, affordable alternative to Smashbox for me.
- Eyeko Fat Liquid Eyeliner was pretty easy for a klutz like me to use. I even managed to get a nice thin line. Perhaps it was because the felt tip was stiff and the fat tube was easy to hold. I’m looking forward to trying it again.
- The Make Up For Ever had a wand head that went from thin tip to very, very flared other end. I hadn’t tried one like that. But it too was easy to use, and I like the formula. No clumps, great length and volume, good definition, no flaking.
Have you tried any of these new-to-me products?

What a gorgeous 10 minute look! I only have a couple of minutes to spend on my makeup when I am running out the door to head off to work!

As I’ve gotten older, what used to be less than 5 minutes has turned into 10 minutes if I’m lucky, Helen 😉
Love this look! Looks pretty similar to what I do every day too!
Thanks, Jodi! Yeah, nothing super special, just light and fresh looking 🙂
I’ll have to try that CoverGirl primer some time! What a perfect lip color on you!

Thank you, Tina! The CG primer was really very nice. After about 10 hours, my skin looked a little drier than normal but that’s just because I have desert dry skin.
I haven’t tried any of the ‘new to me’ products that you’ve mentioned, but as of late .. I’m really liking pen type liners. I’ve been using the CG Intensify me marker style liner and really like it. It has a funny blunt, rounded tip and for some reason .. it works perfectly for me vs. a brush liner.

I think I got that Intensify Me market from CG back in the spring and the tip was difficult for me to manipulate but then I’m a real klutz when it comes to eyeliner. But I’m glad you’re loving it & know how to use it correctly, unlike me, lol. It seems like quite an innovative design that you can use for thin or fat lines.
I notice that you use Amazing Cosmetics. How are their products (or what you’ve tried at least) I’ve been curious about them!!! I really, really liked that Covergirl Primer also!!

So far, Christine, I’ve used Amazing Cosmetics concealer in a tube which is definitely “the big guns” full coverage concealer. But the Perfection Sticks are the ones I use every single day. I love them
Great look and 10 minutes is great too!

Thanks, Carleen. Somehow as I get older, the quick look that I used to do when I was younger takes twice as long, lol.
This is such a pretty look on you! Good to know this primer worked out well too. I need to try out some cream blushes for the Winter time. 🙂
Thank you, Natalie xoxo The CoverGirl primer is definitely worth considering. At the end of the day (after about 12 hours), I noticed that my makeup looked like it emphasized my lines a little more than my more expensive primers like Hourglass and Smashbox, but for days when I’m not doing anything special or won’t be wearing my foundation for more than say, 8 hours, I think it is perfectly fine. For younger women or women with oilier skin, I think it’s a great choice.
That lipstick is perfect on you!

When I saw your first picture, I was like “I really love that lippy and I think I have it somewhere”. I went to check out your product list and noticed it was one of my faves! It looks great on you!

I love this look especially the Butter London lippie. I really need to go into Ulta to see the new Amazing Concealer items.

Thank you, Marcia! Yes, I guess Teddy Boy from BL is the winner for me. You should check out the Amazing Concealers. I have both the full coverage concealer in the tube and two of the Perfection Sticks, and I use the Perfection Stick in Fair every single day. It’s wonderful.
Very nice look! Teddy Boy sure is your color. wow, it looks fantastic on you.

butter LONDON’s makeup line has blown me away. I’ve tried a number of new products from BL and they are wonderful!
I didn’t know CoverGirl had a primer out, but it sounds like a good option. i like a cheaper primer option (I’d rather spend more on my foundation!)

I think the CoverGirl primer is new, Bailey. I just got it in a Target beauty box.

I love the Butter London lip color, and the Stila Cheek colors are some of my favorite! This is such a simple, pretty look.

Thank you, Kristina! Simple seems to be all I can master these days 😉
Love this look! I think my everyday makeup is very similar – just neutrals and nudes mostly.
I think nudes and neutrals are just so easy to wear, and I consider pinks and lavenders/light purples neutrals too!
