StriVectin Intensive Eye Concentrate for Wrinkles

As you know, I’m a big fan of StriVectin skincare products. Their Tightening Neck Cream is a must-have for me, and I love their Multi-Action Restorative Cream and the Oxygen Infusion Smoothing Mask that’s so fun to hear the bubbles pop. A couple of months ago, I received StriVectin Intensive Eye Concentrate for Wrinkles to try out on my older skin, and here are my thoughts.

Intensive Eye Concentrate for Wrinkles is a medium weight (not too thick, not at all runny), unscented white cream that I pat on my crow’s feet and under eye area. It is gentle and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin.

The packaging says that the concentrate “intensively reduces the look of wrinkles, under eye circles, puffiness, and screen fatigue.”

Hmmm, “screen fatigue” – I do get that but usually it’s my eyes themselves that feel dry and hurt. I don’t think I’ve noticed screen fatigue around my eyes, but perhaps it manifests itself as wrinkles from squinting? What do you think?

Like the other products from StriVectin, Intensive Eye Concentrate for Wrinkles has a number of impressive ingredients. It contains their patented NIA-114 (niacinamide) technology as well as Marine Micro-organism Extract that helps boost skin’s ability to produce collagen. It also has Encapsulated Caffeine Compound that can deliver caffeine deeper into the skin to visibly reduce under eye puffiness. Lastly, it has Optical Diffusers that reflect light to make dark circles less obvious and help makeup look better and wear longer. I’ll bet that the Optical Diffusers help lessen the look of screen fatigue!

I’ve been using StriVectin Intensive Eye Concentrate for Wrinkles for about 6-7 weeks so far. I have substantial crow’s feet at this point, and a few months ago, I started noticing some fine lines just below my eye sockets. Very disturbing, but in some ways I am grateful that I’ve been able to stave off wrinkles for way longer than many women. After menopause, I don’t think you can keep wrinkles away forever without hormone replacement therapy, boo hoo. So to be honest, I haven’t noticed any lessening of my wrinkles after 6 or 7 weeks of use, but I’ll keep using the cream and finish out the tube (I’ve got A LOT yet to go!) and then make a final assessment. I believe that the Intensive Eye Concentrate for Wrinkles would probably help those who do not yet have wrinkles keep them away, or help fade incipient fine lines – so you may just want to give it a try if either one describes your situation.

As I was writing up my review, I noticed that StriVectin mentioned in their literature that came with the product that it is clinically proven. More than 90% of women testing the product reported that their eyes looked more awake, that the look of fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes were reduced, their eyes looked wide, and here’s the one that just got my attention: their eyelids look less droopy! Well, I’ll be. I specifically avoided my droopy eyelid area because I thought this was specifically for wrinkles in the under eye area. I’ve been using a different eye cream for my eyelids and above, but now I’ll give StriVectin a shot since that’s my number one concern.

Strivectin is one of the very first products I ever used and will always hold a fond place in my heart. I agree that they probably work great on women that are trying to prevent wrinkles or have minimal wrinkle issues. I think Strivectin is a great brand but I can get similar results from less pricey brands. Thanks for the review and if you find any miracle worker for droopy lids please let me know!!! 🙂

    1. I have such great results with some other StriVectin products, Laura, but so far this one isn’t fading my wrinkles but I’ll continue using it and try it on my lids. If it works on my lids, I’ll let you know. But the PCA eye cream that I reviewed a couple of weeks ago definitely has helped for my droopy lids.

  2. I think this is an old eye cream that has be repackaged? I have used an eye cream from Strivectin before and I swear by it! It’s pricey though but it comes in 30mL and lasted me forever. Great review, Allison!

    1. StriVectin has several eye creams, Shireen, so you may have one of the others because I think this is a new one. The tube is 1 oz/30 ml but it seems gigantic and a little goes a long way. It’ll last forever!

  3. I have noticed my puffiness is getting steadily better since I’ve been using this!

    1. That’s great, Destany! I don’t have under eye puffiness, but I’m still hoping my lines might fade a bit with more use

  4. This sounds like a good eye cream. I hope you’ll notice difference eventually 🙂

    1. It is a good eye cream, Leelo, and I hope I will see some improvement with more time…but I’m the torture test person

    1. It’s a nice eye cream especially for those of you on the younger side 😉

  5. I really hope this works for your eye area since you have been trying brands for some time!

    1. Oh, I’m always testing new brands, Ursula!

  6. I have been testing this, and really like it, but I need to use it longer to see the results that they suggest will occur.

    1. I think if I had used it several years ago if would have been fine for me but since it’s called “Intensive Eye Concentrate for Wrinkles” I was hoping I’d see a little fading – maybe I need more time with it. I do hope it works for you coz most everything from StriVectin is a winner

  7. I need to start testing eye creams. I’m getting more and more fine lines and wrinkles. ACK!

    1. Not so much, actually, but so many of their other products do.

  9. Oh my gosh, I’m the same way about wrinkles! I hate them and know that they’re inevitable but I try to do anything I can to keep them away. I think it’s hard to say if a cream can actually make the wrinkles go away permanently, but maybe they fill them in or puff them up (in a good way) to make them temporarily less noticeable. In that case, I need to try this!

    1. That’s what I was hoping or they’d appear less deep. Frankly, I don’t think 6-7 weeks is actually long enough. This is a huge tube, and I’m going to keep at it!

  10. Since we take good care of our skin and eyes it’s harder to see the small differences a new product can make. I’ve been interested in this eye cream but I have such a big stash that I can wait to hear more about it.

    1. It’s hard to expect a cream to reduce my wrinkles in just 6-7 weeks, so I’ll keep at it. On the other hand, an eye gel that I wrote about several weeks ago does a good job on my droopy eyelids coz I think it’s easier to sort of glue together 😉

  11. Another Stivectin win! By the way, forgot to mention, love the new blog look!

    1. No, this was a miss for me, too. It’s a pleasant eye cream, but it didn’t do anything for my wrinkles so far. But then I adore some of the other StriVectin products.

    1. Kim, I’m so much older than you so my crow’s feet are pretty substantial, I was thinking about 3 months before I could give it a fair assessment, lol! I don’t really have puffiness or dark circles to judge the other changes.

  15. My crows feet have gotten worse, but if it didn’t do much for you, it probably won’t for me either. The only line that I’ve found to have really work, at least for 24 hours at a time, is Freeze 24-7.

    1. I’m testing out a freeze type product now that definitely gives me smooth skin temporarily – but when I smile you can still see my smile lines, lol. You’re younger than I, Shannon, so the StriVectin Intensive Eye Concentrate might work better for you. I know I need more than 6-7 weeks to see if my crow’s feet will soften. It’s a big tube, so we’ll see!

  16. I’m trying to figure out that “screen fatigue” too. hmm…I wonder if it would work for me since it hasn’t for you. I’m trying to combat the wrinkles that I have due to having dry skin and having a ton of facial expressions. lol
Tiki recently posted…Grow It Girl Meal Plan (Week 1)My Profile

    1. I’m older than you, Tiki, so I think it might work better on any fine lines that you might be seeing. I also think that for me, 6-7 weeks of trying it isn’t long enough to see a change in wrinkles. I don’t have puffiness or super dark circles so the wrinkles were the key things for me to look for a change in. It’s a very nice eye cream, and the tube will last a loooooong time

  17. It sounds like a good cream, although I feel that for wrinkles, creams help but aren’t the ultimate long term solution for the loss of collagen/ aging.
