I discovered StudioGear a few years ago. StudioGear is known for its professional quality makeup brushes in particular, but also for its affordable but high quality color cosmetics. They make a terrific light coverage BB cream that’s perfect for casual days or for those who have great skin. Then I didn’t hear a lot about the brand, as if they were taking a vacation from promoting their brand. But this spring, I heard about some new lippies from StudioGear. They’re back, I thought! They’ve got a new face primer, I recently saw. And now, I’m here to tell you about two eye makeup products I recently received via Brandbacker, the blogging association.
StudioGear Invincible Gel Eyeliner and #31 Invincible Liner Brush
I adore gel eyeliner. I think it’s easy to apply, and it has a nicer look than eyeliner pencil.
Truth be told, I’ve been very happy with the L’Oreal gel eyeliner that I’ve been using since last winter. I wasn’t looking for a new one. I thought to myself, it’s going to take a lot to impress me. Similarly, I use a bent neck liner brush and I really like the ease of use with that style brush. Going in to this test, I was a tough customer.
I received StudioGear Invincible Gel Eyeliner in the brown shade Invincible Earth and a slant edge eyeliner brush to try out. First thing, I love the dark brown shade.
My L’Oreal gel eyeliner is charcoal, so I was glad to add this pretty from StudioGear to my stash for more variety. I think on older eyes like mine a shade other than black is softer and more flattering. Plus, I love the dark brown liner especially when I wear browns, neutrals or even rose gold shadows.
The gel is what I’d describe as medium in consistency, and it’s easy to apply. It’s not super soft and messy like some gel liners can be. It’s both waterproof and smudge proof. It sets up quickly, and it stays put till I take it off late at night.
And the brush. I thought I’d struggle to use the angled #31 Invincible Liner Brush, but no: it’s a cinch! Just as easy to use – or maybe even a little easier – than my bent neck brush. Plus I actually think I prefer the slightly wider line that I’m able to get with this brush especially for the outer end of cat eye. Yet it still works well in the corner of my eyes where my lashes are sparser and the line shows up more. The brush is made of synthetic fibers, Taklon Nylon. It’s easy to clean and it dries quickly.
Win-win!
StudioGear Pro T.L.S. Mascara
I have a lot of different mascaras, and a number of favorites. I tend to favor mascaras with a slim wand head with plastic teeth. I’m picky when it comes to mascara. So I was surprised when I found myself impressed by Pro T.L.S. (T.L.S.=thickens, lengthens, separates) because it does thicken, lengthen and separate my lashes.
I have been using Pro T.L.S. Mascara along with my new Japonesque Heated Lash Curler, and they are a dynamic duo. I get thick, separated, long, curled lashes that stay curled till I remove my mascara. And no clumping or flaking.
The formula is a good consistency, neither too thin nor too thick. It’s made with naturally derived collagen, hydrolyzed wheat protein (so it’s not gluten-free) and antioxidants that nourish, condition and protect lashes.
The formula is easy to apply. Even though I am not usually a fan of big, fluffy wands, I don’t have any trouble using it. The wand and mascara give me great results.

ok off to check it out
make up seems to be all we can control these days so let’s paint up and get nasty !
That’s so funny, Melanie! Strangely, I have been so upset that I’ve almost lost my interest in makeup. I guess I need to snap out of it and rekindle my interest or it will be a very long 4 years. The eyeliner is really good, and I love having a brown eyeliner for some variety.
Hi, fyi– the link you have under “their website” doesn’t take you to their website—but your second one “eye makeup products” does. Enjoying your blog, as always!
Gail, thank you so much for taking the time to let me know! How did that happen, lol? I’ll fix it right away. And thank you for reading my blog. I truly appreciate it. Hope to hear from you again sometime xoxo
I love gel eye liners as well, and definitely will have to try this one! I have not tried this brand, and I wish I had noticed this Brandbacker campaign! I love the look you created!

Thank you, Helen. I had tried the StudioGear BB or CC cream a couple of years ago. Since then, they were sort of were laying low. I noticed that they were starting to make a comeback a few months ago with some very pretty lipsticks that I wish I had gotten to try. I was glad for this opportunity. I was especially happy to try the brown gel liner. Such a nice addition to my gel liner collection.
I’ll have to check these out. I like the idea of gel eyeliners, but the few I have tried have been really hard, brand new from the box.
This gel liner is quite easy to use. It’s quite creamy but not messy. My other recommendation is L’Oreal Infallible. These two are my faves in fact
I’m not a make up wearer so I haven’t tried anything from this brand, but your eyes look absolutely lovely!

Thank you so much! I had a chance to try my first shadow palette from Palladio, and I am definitely pleased with the results!
I used to use gel liners, it’s good to know there are great budget options.

What are you using now? Any recommendations? I still have a harder time with liquids and gels seem so much easier.
I love big, fluffy wands Allison! They work the best for me!

Big wands used to be my fave too, but my lashes changed. However, I seem to be falling for a number of mascaras with bigger wands these days!
I love gel liners. Like your look!

I actually typed out a comment about having tried a liquid lipstick from this brand; then I realised I was talking about Studio10 and this was StudioGear *smacks forehead.

LOL, I know the feeling. I don’t know if StudioGear is an international brand.
I really like gel eyeliners too, you can get the precision of a liquid liner but it’s a little more versatile since they tend to dry more matte!

Gel is more forgiving on my older eyes, and yes you’re right about looking more matte.
I’ve never heard of this brand before! I’m going to have to check them out. Lovely review.

So happy to get the StudioGear gel liner in brown instead of black. It has become a permanent member of my rotation. I think Amazon would be the only way to buy StudioGear in Canada.
I’m yet to try anything from Studio Gear, but I have heard good things about them! Your look with the eyeliner and mascara is lovely. 🙂
