Computer Woes and Beauty Spotlight Team News 19 November 2016

This hasn’t been my favorite week in general, but it was made worse with me finally deciding to bring my ailing iMac desktop in for repairs. It ended up needing to be completely erased and restored. It took the entire week, and they needed my Time Machine in order to do the backup. Giving that up for a couple of days meant I had no internet. Today, I picked up my computer and router/backup, got home and realized I didn’t have the power cord. Fortunately, they found it at the Apple Store, so back I went. Came home to what I expected to be a fully restored computer, but instead found that my mail accounts were missing, my passwords were gone, and just about everything about the new operating system is different. Fortunately, I got connected to a great supervisor at AppleCare who stayed on the phone with me for over 3 hours. During that extended session, we got some of the computer back into usable shape. Unfortunately, I’ve got a long way to go. 🙁

I hope your week has been a good one, and that you’re enjoying the weekend. What’s on your pre-Thanksgiving agenda?

I’m so sorry Allison,my pc is on it’s last legs and I can’t imagine having to keep up with all you do and not be at 100%.Glad you’re still up and running. BTW please let me know when you get the link we discussed,I don’t mind waiting a little longer(I’m waiting for one of their promotional emails anyway). Have a great day hon. 🙂

    1. Thank you, Laura! It’s a challenge. Now I discovered that 2 months of my most recent photos were deleted as well as my Quicken application and data and my Microsoft Office suite, both applications of which were downloads and I no longer have the email confirmations. I am upset to say the least.

Thank you for your patience with Glossybox. I finally got a reply from someone at the company and they told me their affiliate program is through Impact Radius and to join it through that website. When I search for Glossybox, nothing comes up so I emailed the marketing person at Glossybox again and she hasn’t answered me. I just submitted a question through the Impact Radius site a few minutes ago, so I’ll see if they answer me tomorrow. If I don’t hear from them in a day or so, I’ll let you know. It was so nice of you to wait on subscribing just for me.
