February is a month associated with the color red. With both Valentine’s Day and the Chinese New Year, red is everywhere. And I happen to love red! So I was delighted when I received a beautiful portable (2 inches in diameter) purse size compact from Mirabella Beauty.
The silver metallic compact has a molded red top embossed with gold design accents that looks almost like enamel with the Mirabella logo and the Pure Press product name in small gold letters.
Inside is a very usable mirror, a spongy applicator and the pressed powder. Pure Press is available in the full size in 6 shades from Fair to Deep. I received shade II that I would describe as Light with yellow undertones.
It is a decent match for me now, but it will be an even better match during the summer. It may be that the Pure Press Mini Compact is available in shades II, III and IV as shown on the website. Check out the shades here.
The mineral powder foundation can be used for touch-ups on-the-go, as an all-over mineral foundation or to set your liquid foundation. I like the spongy puff for touch-ups, a flat top kabuki brush for application all over and a fluffy powder brush for setting my foundation. I think there’s nothing better as a concealer than powder foundation, and I apply Mirabella Pure Press with a concealer brush to hide my remaining dark spots.
Mirabella describes the foundation as medium coverage, but it can be built up. I apply extra on my dark spots to hide them. Also, at my age, I always apply mineral foundation over primer (I love Hourglass No. 28 Primer Serum for my very dry skin). Pure Press is very lightweight. It feels like I’m not wearing any foundation.
Pure Press is a good-for-you powder. As I mentioned previously, it’s made from minerals and it’s infused with anti-aging vitamins and minerals. It’s talc-free, paraben-free, lead-free, oil-free, and free of artificial dyes. Also cruelty-free.
I love my Mirabella Pure Press Mini Compact. It’s the perfect addition to my makeup bag or my evening bag. At $20, it’s an affordable treat or a lovely small gift. The Pure Press Mini Compact is available on the Mirabella Beauty website or at professional beauty salons. So happy that I found a salon less than 5 miles from me that carries Mirabella!

I was happy that Mirabella Beauty found me about a year and a half ago because I had never heard of them either. Their highlighters are absolutely stunning. And I have some cream shadows with the most unusual consistency that I love from Mirabella, but their waterproof mascara (I never wore waterproof before) is my favorite mascara.
The beautiful compact alone makes me want this!

Although I love aqua, peach, blue, certain greens, red never disappoints me. I’m an Aries so maybe that’s why. This little red mini compact is simultaneously cute and elegant, and it’s so much fun to break it out in public.
What a beautiful compact. I love that they make the smaller size since I go through powder so slowly. If they are reading I hope they’ll make this in shade 1 also.

The compact itself is so pretty. I think at that price point… definitely worth it and then some. I haven’t used much or purchased anything from this brand in a while, I need to check it out.
