Cardea Luxe Radiance Eye Renewal Therapy: Love In A Jar

I own a lot of different eye creams. In fact, I must have about 20 tubes or jars in my bathroom. But there are a very few that I actually use. As I’ve mentioned before, my eyes are sensitive, my eyelids are red from blepharitis, I have crow’s feet, occasional dark shadows under my eyes, and I’m always working on tightening the crepe-y loose skin above my crease. Sheesh, I sound like a mess! The point is I expect my eye cream to do a lot, and most don’t make the cut.

Several weeks ago, I received a cruelty-free, vegan, made in the U.S. eye cream to try out: Cardea Luxe Skin Care Radiance Eye Renewal Therapy. For some reason, the name sounded familiar to me. I thought I remembered passing a Cardea Luxe shop on LaCienga or Santa Monica Boulevards during one of my trips to LA a few years ago, but I couldn’t find it via Google Maps so I must be mis-remembering it. At any rate, Cardea Luxe is from Los Angeles, and we know that many people in LA are always trying to look their best.

Cardea Luxe Radiance Eye Renewal Therapy comes in an airless pump jar. To me, that type of packaging is the best of all possible skincare packaging. It’s easy to use, and it keeps the product fresh and efficacious. Just push down on the top and out it comes. You can control how much comes out by pushing gently for a little or harder for more.

Cardea Luxe  Radiance Eye Renewal Therapy is a fragrance-free gel-cream, my favorite consistency when it comes to skincare. It’s very hydrating but also lightweight. It would work well for all skin types. It’s a gender-neutral product that men would enjoy as much as women, IMHO. It’s very gentle on my red lids and crease. In fact, I use it all around my eyes. It does a good job strengthening the skin above my crease and softening the crepe-y look. Similarly, it helps soften the look of my crow’s feet. Not sure if it helps the shadows under my eyes because they seem to come and go based on how much sleep I get and with the fire alarm situation that seems to be resolved, I wasn’t getting much sleep lately.

Though I don’t know how much it contains, Cardea Luxe contains hyaluronic acid and I can tell that it is helping my skin look plumper and more hydrated. It also contains about a million different plant-based oils as well as squalene and glycerin that are also moisturizing. Cardea Luxe flags Matrixyl 3000 on their packaging, an anti aging ingredient made up of two peptides, palmitoyl-tripeptide and palmitoyl-oligopeptide. They work together to make skin produce more collagen and elastin.

I’ve had really good results from Cardea Luxe Radiance Eye Renewal Therapy. Besides using it on eyes, the website and packaging say you can use it on your face and neck. Because I wanted to “save it”, I haven’t often used it on my face or neck though it does work well as a facial moisturizer too. In fact, I thought Cardea Luxe was very expensive. When I sat down to write up my thoughts, I went to their website to check on the price, and I was honestly very surprised to see that the price is truly affordable, $29.99 for 1.8 oz./50 ml! It’s sold on the Cardea Luxe website or through Amazon where it’s a best-selling, top-rated skincare product.

A couple of months ago, Dermstore was having a sale on PCA Skin so I purchased a tube of their $80+ eye gel that I like a lot so I’d have it on hand when I finish up the tube. Now I wish I had held off. I’ve found that I get the same results using Cardea Luxe Radiance Eye Renewal Therapy at a fraction of the cost. Live and learn.

  3. Your overwhelmingly large collection of eye creams sounds just like mine, but I have a serious penchant for effective eye creams, and can’t seem to get enough of them! Given that this is lightweight, hydrating and fragrance-free– it should go without saying that I am interested! The cost is fantastic, and I am thrilled to know that the results are comparable to the one from PCA Skin! Lovely review, as always, Allison!

    1. You’re right, Marcia, why would we want fragrance in an eye cream? Just one more thing to be irritating. Love that this one is so gentle.

  6. Sounds amazing! I too require a LOT from an eye cream and have many that have not made the cut. Glad you found something that works–I like that you can use it on your lids too!!

  9. This sounds fabulous! it’s so hard to find an eye cream for sensitive eyes. For years I used one from Bliss, and it stung so bad if I used it just a hair too high on my orbital bone. Good to know this is an option, and I love the price!

I’m very impressed that you say this is comparable to your beloved PCA eye cream,it really makes me want to try it! Hopefully my crazy schedule will allow me to interact more with you,I miss commenting and chatting a bit.

    1. I understand, Laura. Life happens! But glad you are able to chime in from time to time. This eye products is a gel-cream as opposed to PCASkin that’s a gel only. But in terms of effects, they are equivalent for me and Cardea Luxe is so much less expensive. Cheryl Hawley posted or mentioned a 50% off sale on Cardea Luxe but I can’t seem to find it – it may be on their website. For $15, it’s definitely worth trying (heck even at $29.99 it’s worth trying!). xoxo

Hi Allison, I just wanted to let you know the deals on this eye cream are through Amazon, right now they have 3 active deals. 34% off, 50% off and BOGO!!! I went for the BOGO. If you go to the product page it will tell you there’s 3active promotions with an arrow to click on for a drop down menu with the codes. If you or one of your readers can’t see that just read all the way down the product page and it will give you the info towards the bottom. It does say “limited time” so I wanted to let you know in case you want to pass it on. Have a great weekend, I can’t wait to try the eye cream. xo💖

        1. Thank you, Laura! I’ll quote you and add this important info to the post. Also, one of my friends was considering buying it and she was going to wait till she finished up her current eye cream, but I’ll let her know that she should go for it now. This gel cream is so worth $15 a jar!!

  12. I have this and so far I’m really liking it! It doesn’t irritate my eyes at all and I think that it feels really nice under my eyes!
