La Difference Cosmetics Advanced Plumping Hand Cream

When I look at my hands, I could cry. I should have started applying sunscreen to my hands years ago. They are covered with dark spots. Boo hoo, but totally my own fault. Warning to you younger gals, put sunscreen on your hands everyday so you won’t look like a leopard like I do!

My other age-related hand issue is thinning skin. I hate that you can see the tendons (are they tendons?) and my blue veins beneath the skin in my hands. I would love to be able to reverse that.

Just about a month ago, I was sent a travel size tube of La Difference Cosmetics Advanced Plumping Hand Cream to try out. Why not?

Here’s what La Difference says about their anti-aging hand cream:

“LDC Plumping Hand Cream uses natural and powerful actives to help compensate for the loss of fat content, and revive the healthy appearance of your hands thanks to their adipose (fat cell) stimulating properties, which positively influences your skin’s genetic proclivity to generate fat cells.”

LOL, that’s a bit disconcerting! I know my body certainly has an amazing overall ability to generate fat cells. I wish the fat cells would all go to my hands instead of my tummy!

First, I must say that from an esthetic standpoint, I love this hand cream. It is very lightweight, absorbs immediately, and it’s greaseless. It’s a breeze to use.

But have I seen any plumping results? Not yet, unfortunately. The skin on the backs of my hands is still thin, and my blue veins and tendons protrude as much as they did before I started. my hand after using LDC Advanced Plumping Hand Cream for 3 weeks, neversaydiebeauty.com

I’ve been using the LDC Advanced Plumping Hand Cream for about 3 weeks, and no change to the contour of my hands as yet. I’m about 3/4 of the way through the travel size tube, I think, and I will certainly continue to use it and finish it up. I don’t know how quickly fat cells can be generated on the backs of my hands, so maybe it needs more time. Or maybe I’m a tougher customer for some reason, and it could work to plump your hands.

At any rate, I like the LDC Advanced Plumping Hand Cream a lot because it’s greaseless and so easy to use. But considering a travel size tube is $20, I’m not sure I’ll buy another when I run out. It is sold along with La Difference Cosmetics’ other skincare products on their website.

Have you tried La Difference Cosmetics Advanced Plumping Hand Cream? Is it something that would interest you?

  1. I agree with you, there’s not much we can do for volume loss in our hands. Some people actually have fat transfers to their hands to make them more youthful. Crazy! At least this feels good on your hands though.

  7. I was looking at the back of my hands today and lamenting how age is showing on them. I don’t have discoloration but I also have no fullness to them. I think Lisa is going to get this for review and I wonder how she’ll do with it.

    1. I’ll be very interested to read Lisa’s review after she uses it for a while. The hand cream doesn’t have vitamin C to fade dark spots, but at this point, I guess my hands are a tough case when it comes to plumping. Kathryne suggested filler, but too expensive and I’m a chicken.

  8. My hands are too plump – is there a de-plumping cream? Just kidding!

  9. Yes, sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen. I would be happy to treat your hands Allison if you lived near me. Laser can tackle sunspots anywhere in the body, and if you want to rejuvenate hands, there’s filler too.

    1. Why didn’t I think of sunscreen on my hands? Hand cream should come with SPF in it – oh wait, now it does! I really wish I could come to you for laser treatments for my dark spots on my hands and the couple that I still have on my face. I’m only about, what, 6000 miles away??

  13. The formula sounds nice, but I think hands (skin in general) is part proactive skin care and part genetics. Thankfully, my moms side has great skin. I seem to have taken after her, with little effort her side hardy has aged, and no one gets stretch marks. I think it’s our southern european roots/olive skin. But, I do take precaution and use SPF everyday. I don’t want to risk it! lol

    1. excellent when it comes to greaselessness, the plumping not so much
