Are you familiar with AmorePacific?
Although it is a luxury skincare brand, AmorePacific is also the number one brand of cosmetics in Korea! I wrote about it last year when I tested out their lovely Age Correcting Cushion Foundation SPF 25 (here). AmorePacific’s founder built the company based on the antioxidant benefits found in green tea from the world’s most potent anti-oxidant, polyphenol EGCG. The plants are harvested by hand from the rich volcanic soil at the foot of Halla Mountain on Jeju Island in the Pacific. Their products are famously effective.
For a limited time, AmorePacific has curated several exclusive travel size collections of the brand’s most popular products. I received the Future Response Age Defense Kit to try out.
The Future Response collection was curated to provide “daily defense against environmental and lifestyle aggressors responsible for collagen breakdown, loss of firmness, and wrinkles.” The collection is elegantly designed with a rose gold metallic storage box and products mostly with beigey-taupe exteriors with rose gold metallic tops.
The kit contains deluxe travel sizes of :
- daytime and nighttime eye creams: Age Defense Dual Eye Creme – one for daytime with SPF 25 to protect against UV and infrared rays, and one for nighttime to firm and soften
- daytime and nighttime moisturizers: Age Defense Creme SPF 30 and Age Defense Creme
- Treatment Enzyme Peel
- 2 different shade samples of the Color Control Cushion Compact Foundation with broad spectrum SPF 50+, shades 104 (light) and 106 (medium) with pink undertones.
Age Defense Dual Eye Creme is a smaller version of the full size. I absolutely adore the concept. You get a “console” with the daytime and nighttime eye creme in separate but connected pots along with a plastic applicator for applying the product. It is so cute, and so perfect. The caps of the two pots have either a sun or a moon to make it easy to know which one to reach for. I love the two-for-one idea here. So handy.

The Eye Cremes and Moisturizers contain AmorePacific’s FUTURE RESPONSE Complex™, a potent blend of Green Tea and Pine Mushroom that protects throughout the day and nourishes during the night. The daytime Eye Creme and Moisturizer contain titanium dioxide as sunscreen, and as a result, they leave a bit of a whitish cast that fades after a couple of minutes.
I love the rich formulas of both the eye cremes and moisturizers.
They feel nourishing and perfect for my dry skin. I also like the fact that AmorePacific recommends using the eye cremes as I do: on the orbital bone as well as under eye. The Age Defense Eye Creme stays put and doesn’t migrate into my eyes – yes!
Treatment Enzyme Peel is a very cool exfoliator. It’s a white powder that you mix with a little water and then apply to moistened skin. It’s a botanical enzyme treatment that gently removes dead surface skin cells improving skin texture and tone and makes other skincare products able to penetrate skin more effectively. I actually love this product. It’s water-activated, and surprisingly gentle, gentle, gentle! Adding water creates a nice lather that I massage onto my face and neck for a little less than a minute, and then rinse off. My skin feels so clean but not stripped. It feels benign enough to use every night. BTW, the first ingredient in the list is lactose, so if you’re lactose intolerant I’d pass on this.

Color Control Cushion Compact SPF 50+ is the second time I have received samples of this Cushion Compact with the highly desirable SPF 50+. The first time, I got it in my Sephora Play bag (here).
The samples come with a little sponge to try them out.
Unfortunately, both times, the two sample shades are too dark for me: 104 is Tan Blush, a light/medium suntan shade with yellow undertones and 106 is Almond Blush, a medium shade.
Here are the swatches. They seem to provide medium coverage and they feel oh-so-lightweight on my skin.
But boo hoo, the one I want to try is 102, Light Pink!! I’ve gotta go to Nordstrom where AmorePacific is sold and see if I can swatch shade 102!
Final Thoughts
I am enjoying the Future Response Age Defense Kit that helps protect against and repair environmental damage. I think these collections are a fabulous idea. The deluxe travel sizes are big enough to last for a few weeks. In fact, I’ve been using this kit for 3 weeks, and I’m not near finished yet. Though pricey at $150, the retail value of all of these deluxe samples is $225. While I wish I could buy an entire full size collection of AmorePacific skincare, I can’t. But I think it’s a great idea to try them out for about a month or more and discover which one or ones are worth the investment. Right now, my favorites are Age Defense Dual Eye Creme and the Treatment Enzyme Peel. I also love the moisturizers, and in the colder weather, the richness of the Age Defense Creme moisturizer would be ever so welcome!

Have you tried any skincare from AmorePacific yet?
I do love AmorePacific after having tried a moisturizer and eye cream from the brand before. The only reason why I haven’t repurchased is the price, both are incredibly pricey and I have since found other Asian brands that are amazing with a better price range.

You’re right, Shireen, AmorePacific definitely is a pricey brand. Surprisingly, the Cushion Compact is quite affordable: $60 for two cushions so it’s not much more than any non-drugstore brand. The skincare products, on the other hand, are expensive. But the eye cream is intriguing to me. It’s $150, but that’s for both the day and nighttime cream so it’s no more expensive than any other prestige skincare product. Tatcha is $90 for a tube of nighttime cream. So I guess it’s a brand that I would have to decide about product by product.
What a wonderful kit! AmorePacific is such a wonderful luxury brand, and this kit is a wonderful way to try their products!

This is a great selection and kit of products. I have used AmorePacific products just a handful of times and I really enjoyed the eye cream I have tried before. This is awesome to see they offer more products for someone to try out and see if they enjoy it too.

Because AmorePacific is a pricey line, the kit is a great way to try out the products before plunking down major bucks to try a full size.
I’m drooling over the eye cream duo. What a great way to package these and they sound wonderful. It’s good to know they recommend using it on the orbital bone too.

The AmorePacific Treatment Enzyme Peel reminds me of the Tatcha Washing Grains, but this has an enzymatic cleaner that is so so gentle.
The duo product is so unique! Korean brands sure know how to make catchy packaging.

You do! I have washing grains from Tatcha, and the AmorePacific Treatment Enzyme Peel is similar. I had thought it might be harsh, but it isn’t at all.
A few years ago I tried a moisturizer from them that I adored, I wish I could remember the name!
