Because I’ve been doing so much yard work, I haven’t been wearing nail polish. But I’ve taken a short break from gardening, so I decided to do an easy summer mani with some polishes I haven’t used in ages. In searching through my polish drawer and my apothecary jar, I noticed that a lot of my polishes have separated. Boo. Not sure if I should toss them or keep ’em a little longer and just shake ’em.
At any rate, I grabbed an Essie polish, Spaghetti Strap, that I haven’t used in ages. Spaghetti Strap is a pale peachy pink, but it’s been so long since I used it that I forgot that it’s a sheer polish. So I grabbed another polish, Barielle Blossom, a beautiful peach cream, and I thought I’d figure out how I could use it along with Spaghetti Strap.
I ended up doing a very quick mani. I should have pushed back my cuticles, but I didn’t. I used Seche Crystal Clear Base Coat, and I need another bottle. My current bottle must have leaked and there’s dried base coat all over the outside of the wand. Oh well.
I applied one coat of Spaghetti Strap for a completely sheer look. Then I found a toothpick because I can’t find my dotting tool. I poured some Barielle Blossom onto a piece of aluminum foil, and I used the toothpick to dot Blossom onto all of my nails.
Once that dried, I followed up with Zoya Armor Topcoat/UV Block.
And that’s it! A quick, easy, cute summer mani.
What’s on your nails today?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this manicure, Allison! This is perfect for the summer, and those pretty coral polka dots are perfect for you!
Thank you, Helen xoxo
How cute. Right now I have a nail aid on my nails to strengthen my nails. They tear so easily.
What is nail aid, Sandy? I don’t know that one. Are you taking biotin too?
That’s adorable! You are brilliant 🙂
Thank you, Cynthia! xoxo It was actually really easy and I am a klutz when it comes to nail polish and nail art
That’s cute! After reading all the nail blogs I always want to do nail art and this is something I could handle.
I am a complete klutz when it comes to nail art, but dots I can handle. This peachy mani looked good with my peach outfit today.
Cute, I love polka dots!
