This is what my neighborhood looks like now.
We got a foot of snow on Sunday night/Monday morning. I spent Monday shoveling. Today was a bright sunny but 29 degree day. My friend Sue and I went snowshoeing in the woods nearby. It was fun, but definitely a lot of work. The snow was deep and though it had a crisp top, we kept sinking in. Oh, am I ever ready for spring and warm temperatures!
BreezeBalm Lip Balm has stoked my desire for summer and the beach. BreezeBalm was born in New Zealand and made in Australia where they’ve had a record hot summer. This is the postcard they sent me!
The brand BreezeBalm was started by Sammy Leo (below) who grew up on the beach in New Zealand using a little pot of gold that kept her lips soft and smooth all year round. It was handmade in her family’s drugstore since the 1950s by her grandfather and father, both pharmacists. Sammy grew up working in her family’s drugstore during school vacations. She heard first hand from the drugstore customers that they loved the little pot of gold lip balm. When the drugstore was sold in 2014, Sammy realized that her stash of her family’s lip balm would come to an end. That’s when she decided to introduce the lip balm, reformulated slightly and named BreezeBalm, to the world! The perfect brand name for a beach lover’s product.
So although I intended to wait till the temperatures warmed up to start using BreezeBalm Lip Balm, I was too tempted to wait. The lip balm that BreezeBalm sent me is pineapple scented. Yum! The actual name of the scent is Pineapple Pash. I love the look of the box that it came in (even though the white type on yellow background is a little tough for my eyes to read!). The pineapples on the box are so tropical, enticing, so summer-y.
One of the key reasons that I was so interested in trying BreezeBalm is that the key ingredient is lanolin. Although it’s not vegan, the BreezeBalm lanolin is ethically sourced from sheep’s wool. If you have super dry lips like I do, lanolin is a highly emollient natural ingredient that works wonders for dry lips. I’ve been using lanolin in the depths of winter for my lips for about 5 years, and it works. Period.
BreezeBalm comes in 7 scents in fun, creative color-coordinated boxes and plastic tubes:
- Bananas For You (limited edition banana scented)
- Perfect Pout
- Hero (vanilla scented)
- Candy Kiss (caramel scented)
- Coconut Smooch (coconut scented)
- Pineapple Pash (pineapple scented)
- Grape Sorbet (scented like grape Hubba Bubba bubblegum)
BreezeBalm Lip Balm is a white balm that you can apply right from the slant tip tube or from the tube onto your finger.
In addition to applying it on your lips, you can apply it by finger any place that needs some serious healing and hydration – a sore nose if you have a cold, sunburned nose, ears or cheeks etc. I love to use it either under or on top of matte lipsticks.
I can hardly wait to use BreezeBalm during the summer. Have you ever heard of coordinating lip balm and sunscreen? Well, that’s what I am going to do! Remember last summer I was singing the praises of Hint Sunscreen Spray SPF 30 in a delicious pineapple fragrance (reviewed here). This summer I’ll be wearing pineapple BreezeBalm Lip Balm and Hint Sunscreen. I’ll smell mah-velous 😀
Each tube of BreezeBalm contains 15 g/0.52 oz. of lip balm. The price in US dollars is $14.15. You can buy 6 tubes of all of the regular scents in a collection and save money. Currently, cruelty-free BreezeBalm is sold online on the BreezeBalm website. Check it out and get ready for that summer frame of mind!
Ingredients: Lanolin, Paraffin soft, Water, Aroma, Emulsifying Wax, Paraffin Wax, Beeswax, Potassium Sorbate.
That lip balm sounds wonderful. I have one on the way! I can’t wait for beach weather either. It is pouring here and I am ready for winter to end!
I know you’ll love it! The formula and scent are heavenly!
I like your matching lip balm/sunscreen plan. 😀 I can’t blame you for breaking into that package before summer. It’s so cheerful and a reminder that the snow will indeed melt. Eventually…. LOL
Oh and the BreezeBalm site also has some adorable socks with flamingos on them!
LOL, I can hardly wait to be wearing pineapple sunscreen and coordinating lip balm! Yes, Rach, I saw those adorable flamingo socks. I should have added them to the post. I would love those!
These sound absolutely yummy!
Snowshoeing is fun! But I’m ready for spring. I love Pineapple, so this balm sounds perfect!
All those scents sound awesome! I really love pineapple scented stuff.
I’m hoping I get Pineapple too though they all sound like fabulous flavors. I need the help now since the weather changes every day.
I have a feeling we will all get pineapple. The pineapple scent isn’t overwhelming so you should be good with it. The scents of the others are varied, and the website doesn’t say what the scent is for the pink one.
The packaging is very tropical. 29 degrees, brrr!!!!! at 62 degrees here in Hawaii, I’m freezing like hell already, lol
It was 21 degrees when I got home in the late afternoon!
Pineapple and Coconut sound fab!
This sounds great. I bet it smells delish!

The BreezeBalm packaging is so adorable. And they have a super cute pair of flamingo socks too. Hope your weather warms up. It’s 21 degrees now, up from 14!
The Canadian cold has been really rough on my lips! I am going through lip balm like no one’s business! I bet this one would be uplifting too with that tropical scent!
The story behind this company is so nice! Love the pineapple scent.
I agree!
I am a lip balm junkie so I have to check these guys out! That pineapple and banana both sound amazing!
