When I moved into my brand newly built house 18 years ago, the home inspector, who was supposed to be a very thorough one, came up with a fairly comprehensive punch list. But sadly, one thing he missed was the bathtub in the master bath. I found out the hard way about a year later that the drain wasn’t connected to the overflow pipe. I found out after I noticed water stains on my living room ceiling. Boo hoo. To fix it, my plumber would have to rip out a wall. A bathroom reno is expensive, so I haven’t done it. As a result, I don’t take baths as often as I’d like to.
So to make my infrequent baths without a full tub of water really special, I have become a bath bomb fanatic. And two new bomb brands have come my way.
Fun and Imaginative HALLU Bath Bombs
HALLU (pronounced Halloo), according to the HALLU website, is “a warm, welcoming word that evokes escape; derived from the vibe of myth and fantasy”. And it’s a scent-driven place of magic and fantasy that can transform your bath or shower.
There are 4 different mythical collections:
- unicorn
- mermaid
- gnome
- fairy.
I received some of the bath bombs from the mermaid and fairy collections:

HALLU bath bombs are witty and unique. Three of the bath bombs – Mermaid Tiki Torch, Fair Dance Party Bath Bomb and Fairy Wish Upon A Star – were especially different: they lit up.
I lit the built-in wicks for Mermaid Tiki Torch and Fairy Star, and I had floating candle bath bombs. So I could shut off the lights and bathe by candlelight!
Fairy Dance Party Bath Bomb has a crazy disco light inside it that you can get to after the bomb is finished. And you can toss the disco light into the tub!!! Check out this video to see what I mean!

Mermaid Splash Bath Bomb turned my bathwater the most gorgeous and fragrant shade of aqua.
They smelled divine, released pretty colors into the bath water, and were long lasting. I got more than one bath from them all!
Importantly, they left my skin feeling ultra soft and smooth. But even more importantly, they didn’t leave any grease in the bath tub like other bath bomb brands I’ve used in the past. In other words, no clean up!
I’m a huge fan of these fun and moisturizing, no clean up bath bombs from HALLU. I think they’d make terrific gifts with a couple of them in a gift bag or gift basket with other bath and shower goodies – HALLU also makes bath and shower products. On the HALLU website, you can put in your zip code to find out where they’re sold near you. When I tried it, I saw that they’re sold at Walmart. Great, they’re easy to replace! When I looked online at Walmart, the single round bath bombs are $2.97 each or $8.91 for a 3 pack. Definitely affordable!
Warfighter Hemp Bath Bombs
While HALLU bath bombs were fun, fragrant and whimsical, Warfighter Hemp Bath Bombs are more serious. In fact, they’re therapeutic. Warfighter Hemp is a brand developed by veterans, initially for veterans. Fifty percent of the profits go to support veterans causes, and veterans get a discount on purchases.

One bath bomb contains 35mg of active Cannabidiol. Cannabidiol does not make you high like THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, does. Instead, Cannabidiol acts to relax, soothe and calm. It is formulated to address chronic pain, localized pain, muscle recovery, and Psoriasis. I used Warfighter Hemp Bath Bombs while I was suffering from a diverticulitis flare up. While the CBD bath bomb didn’t get rid of my diverticulitis, it made the pain on my left side feel less intense.
The Cannabidiol in Warfighter Hemp Bath Bombs is grown organically in Colorado. The bath bombs are made from plant-based ingredients.
In addition to helping me relax and taking my diverticulitis pain down a notch or two, it made my skin feel very smooth and soft. But there was no greasy film left behind in the bath tub.
I am not sure what the fragrances were in the two bath bombs that I received. They did not have strong scents. There are 4 scent varieties, however, that include: Lemongrass Kiwi, Citrus, Eucalyptus & Peppermint, and Fresh Bamboo.
While other bath bombs turn the water pretty shades like pink, turquoise or purple, the green/purple Warfighter Hemp Bath Bombs turned the bathwater a purplish-brown shade. To be honest, it wasn’t as pretty as the fun pastels, but the Warfighter Hemp Bath Bomb did the trick. The entire bath bomb disintegrated in one use, and with a dosed amount of CBD in the bath bomb, it’s meant to be used all at once. This is what it looked like:

My granddaughter surprised me when she found a bath bomb in my bathroom – I had no clue she knew what it was. I think she’d love the Hallu ones (no candles though). That would make a fun surprise for her.
