Moisturizer is the most important skincare product IMHO. I remember asking Adeline James, a girl on my floor in my dorm freshman year, what a bottle of intriguing pink lotion on her dresser was. She told me it was facial moisturizer, and it was a must. Before that, I had no clue. Since then, I’ve been a devotee, and I think it helped me keep lines and wrinkles at bay (along with sunscreen of course) for quite a long time. And to this day, I think I enjoy trying out new moisturizers and anti-aging creams most of almost anything.
A couple of months ago during an Ulta sale, I decided to try out a new-to-me skincare brand, Kopari, and I came home with Kopari Coconut Face Cream. I have First Aid Beauty Coconut Water Primer Moisturizer that I like a lot, so I thought I’d try this one. Although I am a silicone queen usually, both of these coconut water skincare products do not have silicone in the formula, and surprisingly, I don’t miss it. It feels smooth to the touch and smooth on my skin. So if you can’t use skincare products with silicones in the formula, this may very well be for you!
Kopari Coconut Face Cream is more of a gel-cream than a regular cream to me.
It sinks into my skin on contact. It’s two key ingredients are aloe vera and shea butter. I think the aloe vera gives it the gel feel. The formula is jam-packed with fatty acids from natural oils including coconut and sunflower as well as antioxidants from plant extracts. In spite of the fact that Kopari Coconut Face Cream contains shea butter and oils, it is very lightweight but nevertheless nourishing and hydrating.
In addition, it soothes inflammation, protects from environmental stressors, and strengthens the skin’s barrier.
I love the tube that it comes in. I don’t smell a fragrance, nor is there one listed in the ingredients below. All in all, Kopari Coconut Face Cream comes across to me as a simple, natural, facial moisturizer. It’s really nice. Plays well with primer and foundation. Just good stuff.
Although I would say that Kopari seems to be targeted to young women, I feel that Face Cream works for me too.
