Sale Alerts: PRAI, StriVectin and BioDerma

Hi friends, hope you’re hanging in there and finding things to keep you occupied at or near home! Last night when I was preparing a salad to go with my dinner, I managed to take part of my index finger on my left (dominant) hand off. It bled for hours, and I probably could have used some of that glue that medical people use these days instead of stitches, but I didn’t want to take a chance going to an urgent care. So I am having a hard time typing and doing a lot of things, since I’m a lefty. This will be quick.

My friend, DiEtta, let me know that HSN is having a special price on PRAI Ageless Throat & Decolletage Cream, both the bejeweled 6.8 fl. oz $49.95. and the regular size 4.0 fl. oz. in the plain jar $39.95.

You can get an additional 15% off by signing up for emails if you haven’t done so already. This is a fabulous neck and chest cream, and the large jar lasts forever. I’m halfway through my jar and it’s over a year old. This sale is today only, so act now if you’re interested.

HSN also has a few StriVectin products on sale too including their Supersize 3.4 fl. oz. TL Advanced Plus Neck Cream. I have not yet tried the “Plus” version, but I loved the original. The sale price is $69.99 (regular price is $135). This is a Special of the Day, so again act fast if you’re interested.

Lastly, yesterday when I went to CVS to pick up a couple of prescriptions, I saw that Bioderma Micellar Water in all three varieties is now sold at CVS! They were on sale in a 2 for 1 of the largest size bottles, 16 fl. oz., $19.90. I checked to see if they were available on cvs.com, but no dice. You have to go to the store, boo!

Usually, a single bottle is about $15 each. I had a 30% off coupon and $5 Extrabucks, so I definitely got a great deal on my usual Hydrabio!

My hand is tired from typing with one finger. Bye for now!

    Allison,
My boys used to use super glue to close their cuts from fishing and hunting mishaps, hockey wounds and assorted accidents. Probably too late but if you have some use it. But first wash the area good with peroxide.

I’m not really doing anything productive. I am in need of an appointment with my neurologist but that is not going to happen for obvious reasons. Ordered my groceries for a pickup this morning. When I pulled up, I popped the trunk open. When the girl who shopped walked up I realized it was the lady who cleans my house when I need a deep cleaning. She has 3 girls in college and has always worked a couple extra hours delivering for Shipt. Anyway it was pleasant to have a a visit even through it was via social Distancing .

Take care and stay out of NY!

    1. I did have some Gorilla Glue, Sandy, but I gouged so much skin out and it was bleeding so much, I didn’t think about that, and I think I would have worried about it because I couldn’t close up the wound. I just took off the two layers of bandaids covered over by medical tape to take a look at it, put on some Neosporin and change the bandaids. It looks pretty gross, but it isn’t bleeding as much. Next time, I’ll remember that tip. But I am going to buy a special glove before I use the mandolin again.

I’m not doing much productive either. It will be 2 weeks on Friday since I went to the supermarket. Stop n Shop, one of our supermarkets that usually has delivery and also a pickup service, has cancelled both because they couldn’t keep up. The supermarket I shop at has neither, but Instacart does service that store. However, delivery is 5 days out. So I think I may suck it up and go tomorrow evening when it may be less busy. Ugh. I’m glad that you ran into a woman you know at the store. What a nice surprise! And how wonderful to get to have even a brief chat at a distance with someone you know.

Jeff and I were planning to go to NYC on April 23 for our friend, Andrew’s opening at a Madison Avenue gallery. Obviously, all is cancelled. I wish I could get everyone I know out of NYC!

      You take care too! xo
