Qtica Smart Spa Lemon Dream Sugar Scrub

As my friend Miriam pointed out, I have a pretty nice place to spend my stay-at-home time. I spend most days working in the gardens in my yard or in the gardens in the front of my neighborhood. Lots of digging, lots of planting, lots of weeding, lots of moving plants around. At the end of the day, I am usually covered in dirt.

Rather than showering in the morning, these days I shower at night. Lately, I’ve been reaching for Qtica Lemon Dream Sugar Scrub. I was given this as a gift from a sister blogger, and it was a lovely surprise. To be honest, I was never a big scrub user. For one thing, I hated how so many scrubs made the tub greasy and dangerous.

I was wondering, how do I know the name Qtica? From nail salons! Qtica is the manufacturer of all kinds of nail care and spa products: oils, scrubs, lotions, as well as nail filler, nail strengthener, fast dry, topcoat etc.

Since this was a gift and because Qtica is a high quality brand, I thought I should try Qtica Smart Spa Lemon Dream Sugar Scrub. Maybe it would change my mind about scrubs.

First, the scent is divine. To me, Lemon Dream is a gourmand lemon scent. Kind of like a lemon tart or a lemon pie. Absolutely yummy. And it’s not overpowering.

The sugar scrub isn’t scratchy or irritating to my semi-sensitive skin. It seems to melt as I smooth it over my skin and the warm water hits it.

I don’t know how it does this, but it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and protected so much so that I could skip body lotion if I were in a hurry. They call it “clean dissolve”: hydration but no oily film. Importantly, it doesn’t leave a greasy mess on the bottom of my tub. There’s no residue. Amazing.

I really like this scrub! And it comes in lots of different “flavors”. Lemongrass Ginger is next on my “to try” list. Other enticing scents include: Lime Zest, Grapefruit Surprise, Vanilla Wild Plum, Mandarin Honey, Strawberry Cranberry, Exotic Mango, Guava Passion, Colada Sparkle, Pomegranate Lime, Almond Oatmeal, Eucamint Sugar, and White Tea. Yum! The colors of the scrubs are gorgeous, too. And there are matching lotions to go with each scent.

The Qtica Smart Spa Sugar Scrub that I have comes in a 7 oz. flip-top plastic tube that’s easy to use in the shower, and it’s priced at $18. The Smart Spa Sugar Scrubs also come in a huge 44 oz. tub for $68. I’ve found Qtica Smart Spa Sugar Scrub for sale on the Qtica website  where you can also buy Zoya and NM Naked Manicure and on  Beauty Care Choices.

Are you a fan of scrubs? What’s your favorite? Have you tried any products from Qtica?

  1. Everything about this appeals to me! The scent alone does it for me, but I am so obsessed with great exfoliants that I am really inclined to try this one! Thank you for introducing me to this scrub!

    1. The Qtica scrub really is worth looking into. Wonderful scent, light hydration, good exfoliation, and no greasy shower afterwards! I forgot that Qtica has some kind of relationship to Zoya.

I love a nice scrub after I’ve been playing in the flowers. I do wear gloves in an attempt to keep the worst of it out from under my nails (also helps with my random skin reactions to various and sundry green things, lol) but gloves just can’t keep ALL the dirt at bay. I never think to browse the Qtica section when I’m on the Zoya site. Maybe I should! The mention of lemony goodness was probably enough to draw me in, but my rapt attention was ensured by the mention of grapefruit. I could very happily fill my entire shower with grapefruit and only grapefruit. The only thing better is rhubarb, but hardly anyone does that scent lately. (Did score a bottle of Molton Brown rhubarb-rose lotion off Haute Look a while back though!)

    1. Hi Rachel, so good to hear from you! Have you gone back to work yet? I’ve been thinking of you in OH, so much going on. Hope you weren’t in the area of the big rains. How is your garden doing this year? At first, I didn’t realize that this was the Qtica that I notice on the Zoya site and back in the day when I used to go to nail salons. I really truly like this scrub, it’s good stuff. Sadly, I cannot eat grapefruit anymore because it would interfere with my cholesterol meds, and I really miss it. It is such a fresh scent. Have you tried Molton Brown Pomegranate Rhubarb shower gel? I just finished my bottle. It has that sharp rhubarb note.

  3. I think this is a terrific scrub. I love the scent of this (or will love the scent once I buy it) and I like what you’ve described the feeling as.

    1. The lemon scent is not strong, and it doesn’t last on my skin. I think even you with your sensitive nose would enjoy this one!

I absolutely love that these aren’t greasy! The mango and Guava scents are delicious. 😊

    1. Kristina, I really love the Qtica Lemon Dream Scrub! Thank you so much for giving it to me xoxo
