I went back and forth for the past several weeks, but I finally decided to go back to Vidal Sassoon to get my hair color rehabilitated as well as cut. I haven’t been anywhere in months, so it was with some anxiety that I made an appointment. Also, Jeff was generous to drive me into Boston, drive home, then drive back to Boston again to pick me up after I was finished 3.5 hours later.
Laurel, my colorist, used a color remover product, a Malibu, to try to get my hair closer to one shade (the back absorbs more color over time and was much darker than the front/top). What a difference it made! Then I let her choose which of my many shades of red to go back to today. The guy at the front desk said it was a Happy Red 🙂
Then, Amy, one of my stylists, cut 2.5 inches off my hair, and gave me a slightly longer in front bob.
So I’m back! This is me today.
And I took a photo of my hair a couple of days ago, so when I think I want to try strawberry blonde hair color, I will just look at the photo below and I know it will talk me out of it.

Looking good! My sister is a bottle red head and her shades have been all the place. She short hair and it grows fast. Me I have not been yet the shops around here are packed.

I waited a month after my salon opened because I wanted them to work out there system before I went back, but I had made my appointment on the first day that they announced their reopening. I think that was 6 weeks ago! I don’t blame you for waiting a while.
You look gorgeous! I’ve been so lazy with my hair. I stocked up on my hair color before lockdown 3 months ago. Still haven’t colored it. lol I think I will soon. I need a haircut. I’m much to scared to cut it myself, though my husband does a good job of using clippers to keep my side shave the right length.
