Viseart Paris Edit Mini Eyeshadow Palette: Romantic Peaches

I Bought This - Affiliate links

Since I haven’t been wearing much, if any makeup, for the past 4 months, the last thing I needed was another eyeshadow palette. But the siren song of a sale at Viseart, the French professional makeup brand, was too much for me to ignore. I own 3 or 4 full size Viseart eyeshadow palettes, and they are my very favorites.

This time, I bought the romantic Paris Edit, a small, affordable travel palette with 12 mini-pans in peachy shades, some warm-toned and a few cool-toned. I already own the full size Paris Nude palette that has some similar shades, though I would describe the Paris Edit as being much peachier with some brighter shades than the full size Paris Nude that has more true purples and fewer peaches.

The Paris Edit shadows come in a variety of finishes: mattes, shimmers, metallics and satins. There are a couple of shades that are almost but not quite duochromes. I love these peachy/neutral shades, and never tire of them. Like all Viseart eyeshadows, the pigmentation is excellent. Here are the Paris Edit swatches over Urban Decay Anti-aging Primer Potion. Sorry I am so bad at arm swatches. I’ve gotta find the cute swatch stencils I bought ages ago.

The shades are horizontally across the palette:

  • Petale: I call this cool-toned pale pink matte, though some call it dusty mauve
  • Champs-Elysee: pale white-gold champagne shimmer
  • Creme Brûlée: browned-peach toffee matte
  • Fleur: dusty plum matte
  • Opera: golden pink shimmer
  • Beaux Arts: peachy caramel satin
  • Tulle: bright peach matte
  • Cerise: deep plum, also described as “muted merlot” matte with sparkly bits that they call “satin” (in spite of the fact that its name means “cherry”)
  • St. Germain: smoky grey-purple shimmer that is almost a duochrome that has a sort of reddish shift
  • Marais: copper shimmer
  • Pirouette: peach metallic
  • Tuilleries: smoky amethyst shimmer

Because Viseart shadows are made with talc, they are always a little powdery in the pans, but it doesn’t bother me. The shadows are easily blendable, and there’s no fallout during application.

I wear all eyeshadows over eye primer, so I find the Viseart Paris Edit to be long wearing and lovely.

The palette is made with heavy cardboard and is well designed in the convertible style. It is in no way cheap looking or feeling. It comes with a usable mirror, and I think it is the first Viseart palette that I own that has a mirror. It also has removable magnetic pans. And it comes with a clear plastic cover that goes over the pans to keep them protected as well as keeps the dust from getting the palette dirty.

If you are considering trying Viseart and balk at the $80 price tag of the full size palettes, the mini-palettes are worth a try IMHO. The regular price of the Paris Edit is $39 for 12 shades, with the palette containing 12 g/0.42 oz. I know there is usually a July 4th sale on Viseart palettes, but I’m not sure whether the sale is on the Viseart website or at Alcone Company (that carries only the full size and Theory palettes, not the Paris Edit). The Paris Edit is also sold at Sephora, and Beautylish.

Ingredient Callouts: Free of sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, and triclocarban, and contains less than one percent of synthetic fragrances. This product is also cruelty-free and gluten-free.

On a slightly different but related topic, I just want to recommend the Artis Antimicrobial -Treated Microfibre Cloth/Brush Cleaning Pad. It does such a great job at quick cleaning brushes, even on its own without the Artis spray Brush Cleansing Foam that I also use. It works well with any brushes, not just Artis. Get one!

Morning……🙋🏻‍♀️☕️☕️ great review. I love mini eyeshadow palettes. This one reminds me of my Too Faced and Mally’s mini eyeshadow palettes. So nice…….love all the colors. Ones that are my favorites. Thanks for sharing. 😘🌻

    1. Thank you, DiEtta! The Viseart Paris Edit reminds me of my Too Faced peach palette. I should dig it out and do a comparison. I think mini-palettes are the best. To be honest, I don’t need any more full size ones. What kind of shades do you gravitate towards?

  2. This is such a pretty palette. I have a few of their palettes, and they are among my favorites too! This is a very pretty palette! I agree wth you about the Artis Brush Cleaning Pad– it’s so effective and easy to use!

    1. Thank you! Such soft but lovely shades, and yes, the Artis Brush Cleaning Pad is quite the find!

Allison….I pretty much stick with browns, nudes, pinks, vanillas. I accent with shimmer colors in the middle of my eyelids. I line my upper and lower eyes with color liners (smudge) nothing heavy. At age 70 you have to be careful not to be heavy handed with make-up. My daughter keeps me in check. She will not let me look”FRUMPY!” LOL. Gotta love her. 😘🍷

      1. I love those shades too. It sounds a lot like my looks, DiEtta. I asked about the shades because I get a new palette every month with Ipsy Plus, many of which I have never used. You may hear from me 😉

      2. PS You could never, ever look frumpy!!

  3. The shades in this are great but I would love to see this in a almost all matte version. I don’t go to metallic-y when i do eye shadows

    1. Viseart has a number of matte palettes, but I don’t believe that any of the minis are all matte. But if I see one, I’ll let you know~

  4. I like the mini palettes from Viseart. Great size for travel (if that ever haens again). Thanks for the tip about the Artis pad.

I used to own several of their palettes back in the day. I miss wearing makeup!

    1. Me too!

  6. I died laughing when I saw that we both covered the same palette on the same day. A secret collab and we didn’t even plan it LOL. I loved seeing your thoughts on the palette and the fact that you mentioned the talc. Also, I’m jealous of your arm real estate. My arms are so short that I can’t fit most palettes on there, hence the hand swatches ROFL.

    1. That’s so funny, Cassie. Since I’m so short, I always assumed I had short arms too – maybe I don’t!
