Derma E Hydrating Mist with My Name On It

Even though we have had a gift of unseasonably warm weather over the past week, it still gets cold at night, and I have the heat on. Inside my house, the air is drier, and my dry skin is getting drier still.

I’ve been switching up my skincare routine, and I am incorporating more super hydrating products. For the last several weeks, I have been using Derma E Hydrating Mist to keep my skin feeling comfortable and looking less dry. Derma E even put my name on the bottle!

Derma E Hydrating Mist contains:

  • hyaluronic acid: nature’s “moisture magnet”
  • rose water: antioxidant rich
  • coconut water: ultra-hydrating.

Ingredients: Purified Water, Glycerin (Vegetable Derived)Rosa Damascena Floral Water, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Water, Polysorbate 20, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid), Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C, Stay-C® 50), Panthenol (Provitamin B5), Organic Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract*, Organic Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Extract*, Allantoin, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, EthylhexylglycerinLeuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Natural Fragrance Oils.

I’ve mentioned a number of times that I hate spraying myself in the face, but I have gotten better at doing it especially if the spray is a fine mist. I’m on the fence about this spray. Sometimes it is fabulous: truly the finest, lightest mist ever. But other times, it’s as if the sprayer gets slightly clogged and some of the spray comes out too wet while the rest is a real mist. Odd. I hope they fix that. But the way I handle my “spraying myself in the face” problem is that I spray it onto a cotton pad or I spray it onto my clean hands, and then apply it to my face.

I use Hydrating Mist after cleansing in the morning and in the evening, like a toner. And during the day, I sometimes do spray it on my face to rehydrate, give my skin a drink. It leaves my skin feeling velvety and never sticky.

Others use Derma E Hydrating Mist to set their makeup or to rehydrate their makeup during the day.

The mist has a very faint scent from natural fragrance oils. I don’t really smell anything when I use it.

From what I have read in the reviews on the Derma E website, the current Hydrating Mist may be a reformulated version. Some of the reviewers were saying that they missed the original green tea version, though the new version does have green tea in the formula.

Some reviewers were concerned about the coconut water in the new formula. Although coconut oil can clog pores, coconut water does not. In fact, coconut water is good for skin, hydrating and giving it a radiant glow.

I really like the lightweight, silky Derma E Hydrating Mist. It’s a welcome addition to my colder weather skincare routine. BTW, I have also rediscovered Derma E Hydrating Night Cream, and I can’t recommend the rich, nourishing moisturizer more for dry skin at this time of year!

Derma E Hydrating Mist contains 2 fl. oz./60 ml and is priced at $13.50. You can find it on the Derma E website where there are frequent sales and cash back via Rakuten, Lovelyskin.com, cvs.com, Vitacost, iHerb.com, Target.com, and other retailers. Derma E products are cruelty-free, gluten-free, GMO-free, soy-free, vegan, and the packaging is recyclable.

    1. LOL! This sprayer is so weird. Sometimes I will spray it, and it’s a lovely fine mist on the first pump and then the next pump is too wet and vice versa. Once I finish my Jurlique Rosewater Mist, I will put the Derma E in there instead – so there goes my name on the bottle 😉

  5. Derma E has so many great products! Face mists are my skincare staples so I am definitely interested in trying this one especially since hyaluronic acid is one of my favorite skincare ingredients:)
