Remedio Soothe Active Renewal Balm

Balms are the elixir of the gods for my dry skin (no, I don’t drink it). I often have several of them in my stash because I love to use them on my dry feet, elbows and even the dry skin on my legs.

I have a new one that I want to introduce you to because this one I use for other uses in addition to soothe and rehydrate my dry skin:  Remedio Soothe Active Renewal Balm.

Remedio Wellness  (a take-off on “remedy”) manufactures hemp-based products to promote good health and well-being. Their products contain cannabinoid-rich formulas that are made from broad-spectrum hemp, cultivated in Colorado.

The majority of their products are drops that range in terms of the amount of cannabinoids in their formulae from 500 mg to 2000 mg. I have never tried cannabinoid drops that many people put under their tongue or mix with water for different purposes related to feeling calmer, less stressed, more relaxed so they can sleep. One of these days, I really want to try some drops to see if they would help me sleep!

Remedio sent me their Soothe Active Renewal Balm to try out. This was the first time that I have tried a hemp-based balm! Here’s how Remedio describes it:

Our new Soothe balm is one of the strongest topical formulations available today, with 1000mg of broad-spectrum hemp extract in every jar. Made from a blend of all-natural organic ingredients and essential oils, Soothe is herbal and warm, scented with hints of frankincense and lavender. The deeply moisturizing salve visibly renews, repairs and protects the skin.

I keep my jar of Soothe Active Renewal Balm on the night table next to my bed. As I mentioned above, I use Soothe Balm on my heels, elbows and on my dry legs before I go to sleep. However, because of the hemp extract, I use it other ways as well.

Because I don’t drink as much water as I should, I often get charlie horses in my calf muscles at night, and I have found that Remedio’s Soothe Balm definitely helps the uncomfortable cramping that I get from time to time.

Although I don’t think I have arthritis per se (not yet, at least), I often get aches and pains in my fingers from doing strenuous yard work. My thumb joint was especially sore after I spent hours raking leaves a couple of days ago. Applying Soothe Balm made the pain in my joint disappear very quickly. I was quite amazed!

Before bed, I also apply a little bit of Soothe Balm to my temples and on the tip of my nose. I love the herbal scent of frankincense and lavender. I don’t know if it is just the wonderful fragrance or also the cannabinoids that help me relax so I have a better chance of falling asleep.

Lastly, I noticed that another blogger who’s blog I discovered online uses Remedio Soothe Active Renewal Balm on his hands where he has a skin disease called dermatomyositis, and he gets relief from using it. I have a different skin disease called exfoliative keratolysis that I get almost every year during the period from May through September. It’s characterized by the skin on my thumbs and occasionally other fingertips peeling off so deeply that my thumbs bleed. I have discovered that balms with urea 40 soothe it and help it get better faster. Unfortunately, I received Remedio Soothe Active Renewal Balm too late for my flare up this summer, but I will try to save some so that I can try it on my thumbs when it reoccurs next year. Stay tuned!

Here are some more details on the product:

  • 1000mg broad-spectrum hemp cannabinoids
  • Nourishing, anti-inflammatory formula
  • Visibly renews and repairs skin
  • Made with pure essential oils
  • Batch tested to ensure purity
  • Made from organically-grown Colorado hemp.

The jar of Soothe Active Renewal Balm contains 2 oz./60 ml and is priced at $49.00. It can be purchased on the Remedio Wellness website. However, the attractive clean-looking label on the jar looks very familiar to me. I think I have seen in a couple of local boutiques that sell hemp-based products. I’m impressed with Remedio Soothe Active Renewal Balm because of its healing properties. I’ve decided I will use my traditional balms on my dry skin and save Soothe for my more medicinal uses.

Thank you for sharing this one! Hope you are doing well and still crocheting. I need a kick in the pants to get back to mine!

  3. Sounds so helpful. I’m glad you found this balm. I get aches in my legs when I’m trying to sleep. I take Potassium which helps somewhat but it’s more of a long term product than immediate relief.

    1. Since I don’t shop as often as I used to, I don’t always have bananas even though my doctor told me to eat one a day. Maybe that’s why the leg cramps have returned! Thanks for that, Marcia!

  5. Those charlie horses were the devil of my Grandma. She would wake up in the middle of the night with those cramps unless she had some OTC meds to help. I’m so sorry you experience them. Glad to know about this balm! Sounds helpful.
