Amazing High-End Skincare and Cosmetics Deals at Costco

Last week, I drove Jeff to his appointment for cataract surgery. He got his first eye done, and the surgery went very well. On Thursday, I drove him back for his follow up appointment. I thought it would be a quick appointment (the surgery took less than 2 hours start to finish), so I decided to wait by browsing at Costco right across the street from MGH Waltham. Little did I know that it would end up taking longer than the surgery appointment!

The Costco in Waltham MA is larger and more interesting than the one in Danvers that is closer to where I live. Because the Waltham store is closer to Boston, located in the “Tech Corridor”, it serves a more diverse population, and as a result, it has a broader array of products especially when it comes to food. There is Indian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and kosher food that we don’t get in my neck o’ the woods. Yum.

What surprised me also was the size of their cosmetics “department”. Especially the skincare offerings. If you use the Olay Regenerist line, they have almost every Olay product at big savings. Before I got into blogging, I swore by Regenerist and I would probably still be using it if I didn’t receive so many skincare products/brands to test.

In addition to mainstream brands like Olay and Neutrogena, Costco amazed me when I saw that they sell products from SK-II, Perricone MD, Shiseido, StriVectin, and other high end brands. I love SK-II’s Facial Treatment Essence. I have a small bottle I bought when I ordered something else at Belle Kalista. Costco is selling the 11 fl. oz. bottle for $199. At Sephora, the 5.5 fl. oz. bottle is $185.

The StriVectin TL Advanced Tightening Neck Cream Plus that I loved was on sale at Costco: two 1 oz. jars for $39.99 (they have an Instant Savings of $25 till the end of the month when the price goes back to $65). The regular 1.7 oz. jar that I have in my stash is priced everywhere at $95, if it isn’t on sale. If you love this neck cream, buy it now at Costco!!

Costco also has terrific “extra” Mother’s Day gift ideas:

  • 4 mini size cool-toned purples Butter LONDON nail lacquers for $9.97
  • Makeup Eraser’s 7 Day set for $19.49

  • Perricone MD Vitamin C Ester Citrus Cleanser for $12.97

If I didn’t have so many cleansers waiting to be used, I would have definitely bought that Perricone Vit C Cleanser. How can you beat that price?

And there were more great cosmetics values both in the store and on line. Go take a look!

Have you gotten any cosmetics deals at Costco lately?

Wish you lived closer, so I could ask you to tag along with me and use my card. Also, I wish I had a spare $200 to pick up that SK-II essence

I no longer have my Costco membership but I think I need to look into starting it back up. I used to buy skin care, over the counter meds and many other things there.

    1. For me, it’s worth it, Sandy, even though I am shopping mostly for myself. My car requires premium gas, so I fill up my SUV at Costco for much less than if I went to a regular gas station. Also, I like to buy the huge size packs of Bounty paper towels, Charmin TP, garbage bags, plastic & Reynolds wraps, Tide, Align Probiotics, fiber gummies, coffee beans, tuna, organic olive oil etc. Jeff gave me a FoodSaver device a few years ago, so I also buy salmon, chicken breasts, and then portion them with the FoodSaver and put them in the freezer. And over the past few years, I’ve started buying jeans at Costco instead of the department store. Actually, I’m a pretty good Costco customer, I guess!

  3. What fantastic deals! Th last time that I was in Costco I was surprised by how many great skincare, makeup and haircare products that they had from first rate brands!

    1. I’ll bet the Costco stores in the LA area have the biggest and best selection of high end cosmetics of all!

  4. I need to wander Costco, it’s been a while! Id love to try that SkII toner but I know it is super pricey for me!

  5. I haven’t been inside for about 8 months but it used to be a weekly trip for me. My husband goes and I give him a list. The savings are phenomenal. I go through Skinny Pop pretty quickly and their big bag is great. I used to find Revitalash there but haven’t been there lately. Strivectin sells several different products during the year.
