Spring green/mint green has always attracted me. I bought a gorgeous spring green wool suit years ago at Gallerie Lafayette in Paris. Oh, I wish it still fit me.

When I was a little girl, my mother made either pinwheel or checkerboard cookies or appetizers (I don’t remember which) to serve at her Canasta group using dough that she dyed peach and light green. They were so pretty! Since then, that color combo has been my favorite.
In fact, I even tiled my kitchen floor in my New York apartment in a peach and green checkerboards. I laugh thinking about the property manager going into my old apartment after I moved out and seeing that floor, lol.
At CVS a few days ago, I decided to use my 40% off coupon to buy Essie Expressie’s spring green “Express to Impress”, #310, nail polish.
I have written about Essie’s quick dry nail polish several times in the past. In spite of the fact that I have about a zillion bottles of Zoya polish, and the formulas from KB Shimmer are probably my favorite, I think I use Expressie polishes the most. Their wide, slightly angled brush is so easy to use.
It covers in 2-3 strokes, and I make fewer mistakes with it than with other brands’ brushes (though I see I should have worn my reading glasses when I applied the polish and took the photos!).
Most importantly, the polish dries completely in about a minute, so it’s perfect for applying right before bed.
Since I use my hands so much in hiking, scrambling over rocks and under trees, gardening and baking, manicures don’t always last a long time – though I went hiking today and no chips at all! With Expressie, I can take off the old polish and put on new in a matter of literally minutes. No big deal.
When I applied the first coat of “Express to Impress”, it was fairly sheer. But the second coat covered completely.
I love this shade. “Express to Impress” is spring in a bottle for me!
You can buy Expressie “Express to Impress” for $9 (before coupons and discounts) at CVS, Walgreens, Target, Ulta, Kohl’s, Macy’s, and more. And if spring green isn’t your shade, there are 39 others to choose from.
What a perfect shade for you, Allison! It is just so lovely!

Beautiful color!! It odd the things that lead us to a favorite color. You walk in a store and all at once you spot your color clear across a room.
Thank you, Gloria! You put it so beautifully: “you spot your color clear across a room”. You are so right!!
Pretty color. I don’t own any green polishes which surprises me.

I hadn’t had any mint or spring green polish before this. It’s a breath of fresh air 😉
Pretty color. It’s great for spring.
Thank you! I love greens!
Such a pretty, springy-summery color… looks lovely on you..totally crushing over it 😍
Thank you xo
Like you, I absolutely adore Essie brush shape! It’s wide and covers the nail perfectly in 1-2 quick strokes as opposed to thinner, more precise brushes. For a single-shade mani these are ideal!

I also love the angle on the Expressie brush. I don’t know if the regular Essie brush is the same, but this one really suits me!
This is the perfect spring shade! I didn’t know this line existed for Essie. And I agree – I’m partial to KBShimmer too! 🙂
