Afore by Dr. Few CBD Effusive Soothing Skin Mist

Over the past few years, I have been trying more and more skincare and wellness products formulated with the CBD or cannabinol, the non-THC or non-psychoactive natural ingredient derived from cannabis. Products containing CBD, however, aren’t often formulated by physicians.

A couple of months ago, I received Aforé by Dr. Few CBD Effusive Soothing Skin Mist with CBD, Green Tea and Vitamin C, a skincare product that broke the mold. Dr. Julius Few is a highly credentialed and well-known plastic surgeon who practices in Chicago. He’s a Clinical Associate of the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Chicago and director of the Cosmetic rotation in the medical school. He is a past president of the Illinois Society of Plastic Surgeons, and a frequent expert called on to comment on all things plastic surgery and skincare in all forms of media.

Dr. Few has an extensive skincare line that is targeted to both women and men that is sold on the Aforé website and at his offices. This is what Dr. Few’s team has to say about his Aforé brand:

Aforé is the beginning of a new approach to beauty and skincare. Literally translated to ‘Beginning’ or ‘Before’, Aforé aims to restore and maintain your skin in a state of before — before sun damage, before exposure to pollution, and before signs of aging. Using Dr. Julius Few’s innovative Four Dimensional Beauty approach, Aforé condenses the best in clinically-validated, proven formulas into simple skincare regimens. Formulated, tested, and prescribed by Dr. Julius Few, Aforé is ultimately designed to deliver natural beauty to every skin type. From first impression to everyday interaction, Aforé makes natural beauty your beginning.

Aforé CBD Effusive Soothing Skin Mist is the first of Dr. Few’s products to contain CBD as the key ingredient. In fact, it’s listed first in the ingredient list below so it’s more than just a smattering of CBD. Formulated using 100 milligrams of CBD nano-emulsion, Aforé CBD Effusive Soothing Skin Mist is the first face mist to use water-soluble CBD synergistically with plant extracts and antioxidants. Using the nano-emulsion in the formula makes the CBD more potent than using CBD oil, as most other CBD products do. CBD’s natural anti-inflammatory properties work together with antioxidants in green tea and vitamin C as well as with witch hazel to cool and depuff the skin and calm redness. The lightweight face mist also hydrates, providing an instant glow. It can be used after cleansing as an essence, as I primarily do, to set and refresh makeup during the day, or just as a pick-me-up if skin is feeling tight and dry or overheated.

I usually hate spraying myself in the face with mist. I’ve probably mentioned it a million times. Not so with Effusive Soothing Skin Mist. The spray is so fine that it is actually pleasant to spray it on. I love it so much that I actually use it throughout the day just for cooling, relaxation, and because I love the light, pleasant, herbal scent.

To be completely honest, I am obsessed with Aforé Effusive Soothing Skin Mist. It’s one of my favorite cosmetic discoveries so far in 2021. It makes my skin and me feel fresh and soothed, and it gives my skin the dewy finish that I prefer. With vitamin C, it provides a boost to my vitamin C serums or gives me at least some vitamin C if I’m using a different serum before I apply the rest of my skincare products.

Check out Aforé Effusive Soothing Skin Mist on the Aforé website. It comes in a heavy black glass bottle, and it’s priced at $50 for 4 fl. oz. It could easily become one of your favorites in 2021, too. And keep it in mind as a Father’s Day gift for the man with sensitive skin or who is trying to look his best. Or you could share yours, though I doubt you would want to 😉

    1. Thank you, Marcia! Yes, I feel like I found the perfect mist for me! The fragrance is light, somewhat citrusy/fresh, and doesn’t last beyond the spray. I find the light scent very relaxing.
