Paula’s Choice Hyaluronic Acid + Peptide Lip Booster

PR Sample, Affiliate Links

As someone who used to have chronically dry lips, my ears perk up when I hear about a new product for full and healthy lips. I was thrilled to receive Paula’s Choice new Hyaluronic Acid + Peptide Lip Booster.

Paula’s Choice is the Queen of Boosters. I have at least three of the PC facial Boosters:

  • C15 Super Booster
  • 10% Niacinamide Booster
  • Peptide Booster

and I’m a fan.

How cool that Paula’s Choice has come out with a Lip Booster? The Lip Booster helps lips look and feel youthful and healthy with three key ingredients:

  • hyaluronic acid filling spheres: humectants that attract moisture that visibly improve lip volume
  • peptides: visibly reduce lines and make lips look firmer and fuller
  • squalane: prevents moisture loss and dehydration and restores a smooth look and feel to lips.

Lip Booster also contains cocoa butter, shea butter and about a zillion other moisturizers and hydrators, but it has a surprisingly light consistency. It’s different from most other lip healers I have tried.

Paula’s Choice Hyaluronic Acid + Peptide Lip Booster comes in an easy to carry tube with a slanted metal lip that makes application a breeze. The smooth juicy booster liqui-gel within the tube is easily squeezed out to glide across lips with the smooth, cooling metal applicator tip. Easy peasy. Upon application, my lips feel instantly hydrated and protected with the smooth, juicy gel.

Lip Booster has no fragrance and no taste. It’s very lightweight and non-sticky.

I know I keep repeating the words “smooth”, “juicy” and “light/lightweight” because  I think those are the three key attributes of Paula’s Choice Lip Booster. In fact, I would describe it as the “anti lip balm” because it’s not heavy like many balms. If you like a heavy lip balm and some people do, this one may not be for you. When I wear it, I keep pressing my lips together because they feel so slippery as well as fuller and more plumped.

Paula’s Choice recommends that you apply it during the day as needed and always before bed. I tend to use it primarily during the day, and I do love it as a gloss over lipstick. It also looks great alone for a natural, glossy, healthy-looking lip look. I don’t use it quite as often before bed because it doesn’t last throughout the entire night for me especially since I often take a drink of water a few times during the night.

Now that summer is sadly winding down, I think Paula’s Choice Lip Booster will come in handy this winter. I just bought a new pair of snow shoes so I hope to be outdoors a lot. Lip Booster is like an instant drink of water plus a protective seal for lips. There’s something rather different about this lip booster. It’s anti-aging for lips!

Paula’s Choice Hyaluronic Acid + Peptide Lip Booster contains 0.33 fl. oz., but a little goes a long way. It’s sold on the Paula’s Choice website and at Sephora for $29. Paula’s Choice is a cruelty-free brand.

This is a pretty nice product. I was a product tester for it before it was launched. While I enjoyed using it, I still prefer her Lip & Body Treatment Balm. It stays put on my lips all night long. And it’s a multi tasker and can be used on all parts of your body.

    1. That’s so cool, Diana. What fun to test new Paula’s Choice products! I am not familiar with the Lip & Body Balm, but I will check it out. Reading the reviews on the PC website for the Lip Booster was very interesting. The ratings and reviews were divided, about half rated it a 5 and adored it, buying multiple tubes, and the other half rated it 1 or 2 and disliked it because it was too lightweight, didn’t last long enough on their lips. I think that City Lips is still my fave, but this is nice to wear during the day as a hydrating gloss. Thanks for taking the time to comment xo

  2. I love when PC has a sale but I’m not always sure what I need. This would be a great addition especially in the winter. I’d use it in the day too since I’m too restless at night and it would end up on my pillow.

  3. These sound like incredible products! PC makes so many great skincare treasures!
