Comfortable Night Sleep with Soma Cool Nights Sleepshirt

I Bought This, Affiliate Links

A couple of months ago, I wrote about super soft Peachskin cooling sheets that are supposed to keep me cooler at night. Truth be told, the sheets work for me quite well. In fact, I am so tempted to buy another set of Peachskin sheets during their $65 for any color sheet set and free shipping deal (with the code PRESALE through Sunday 11/21 at midnight). But I need to pull in my belt, and start buying holiday gifts for other people!

After buying the sheets, I kind of got into the “cool sleep” mode, and an ad for Soma Intimates caught my eye. They were advertising a nightgown (they call it a more contemporary “sleepshirt”) with:

  • 3/4 sleeves
  • a scoop neck
  • a breast pocket
  • an above the knee length

that looked perfect for me.

I read the reviews on that particular style (they were mixed because some women got sleepshirts where the seams had plastic on them, I didn’t). The majority of the reviews were positive, and many women loved the soft fabric that kept them cool at night.

When Soma had a sale a couple of weeks ago, I bought the Cool Nights 3/4 Sleeve Sleepshirt. I also picked up a black short sleeve T-shirt on sale so that I qualified for free shipping via Shoprunner. I can always use another black T-shirt.

I really, really love my Soma Cool Nights 3/4 Sleeve Sleepshirt. The fabric is super soft and comfortable. It does keep me cool at night. Here’s what Soma says about it:

The collection features Soma’s Cool Nights fabric, which feels cool to the touch and is comfortable to sleep in year-round. It’s made of lightweight rayon fibers that feel refreshing and won’t stick to your body. Not only do these PJs make night sweats a thing of the past, but they’re also seriously cute.

I like the fabric so much that I looked on the website to see if they made sleep socks in this fabric, but they don’t. In the winter, I have to wear socks to bed because my feet are freezing, but by morning, my feet wearing either cotton socks or the fuzzy sleep socks that are popular these days get too hot. Oh well.

Because I love the 3/4 sleeve sleepshirt so much, I would like another one. In fact, I wish that this model came in other colors or prints. Black is great, but I would love to buy another one in a different color. Oh well, hopefully at some point, they will introduce one. They have lots of other sleepshirts with short sleeves, one with elbow length sleeves, and lots with long sleeves. They have plenty of sleeveless versions, too.

Washing my Soma sleepshirt called for machine washing with cold water. I hung it to dry, but I do that with a lot of my clothes so the dryer doesn’t shrink or ruin the fabric.

Soma just had a 25% off sale this week, but I decided to wait to see if they will introduce another 3/4 sleeve in the future. Right now, 3/4 Sleeve Sleepshirt along with more than 10 other sleepshirt styles are on sale for 2 for $65. The regular price for the 3/4 Sleeve Sleepshirt is $44. Compared to other cool fabric sleepwear I’ve seen online, Soma Intimates prices are more than fair.

Have you shopped Soma Intimates? Have you tried one of their Cool Nights sleepshirts?

  2. I have some “cool” sleepwear but they don’t really work–they are very old though, maybe the technology has worn off through so many washings. I would definitely like to try Soma!
