My Mixed Milani Mani

Last week, I did my nails in Milani Natural Touch nude nail lacquer. If you caught my post a couple of days ago on My Quest for the Perfect Nude, you know that I love that nude shade that goes well with my skin tone and is perfect with Milani Naturally Chic (nude) Color Statement Lipstick.

On Saturday, Jeff and I made our annual pilgrimage to the Topsfield Fair. That’s this year’s sand sculpture. Pretty amazing!

We know the fair by heart, but we just can’t skip a year because we’d miss seeing the rabbits, chickens, Jeff’s favorite giant white geese, and my favorite goats. I also love the flower arrangements and the beautiful handmade crafts. We top it off with sausage, pepper and onion sandwiches at Buchino’s. We wandered into the building that has concessions with people selling gadgets, e.g. “it slices, it dices…”. After Jeff bought me a new winter hat made from alpaca wool (it’s so soft and the pattern and colors are beautiful), I couldn’t pass by a booth selling nail art pens without stopping to look. A girl with the most beautiful glittery eyes and lips offered to draw flowers on the nail of my ring finger. I couldn’t refuse. With the thin tip of the ink-filled pen, she drew three white flowers with red centers. So cute.

The next day I noticed my almost week old manicure started to chip on my index finger and thumb, so I removed the nude polish from 4 fingers on my right hand and replaced it with Milani Foxy Lady, a gorgeous red-orange metallic polish that matched the little center of the flowers drawn on my ring finger. Loved the look. My other hand in nude didn’t have any chips, so I left it nude. I like the red vs. nude color combo and the metallic vs. smooth.  I got lots of compliments on my mixed mani!

So here it is. What do you think? Having you been mixing different colors or textures lately? What’s your favorite new nail look?
