About Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics

Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics is a luxury skincare and makeup brand that too often flies under the radar. As a mineral-based brand, it is cruelty-free and made with good for you, clean beauty ingredients. It’s gentle enough even for sensitive skin!

Here’s some more background info on the company and brand:

For more than 24 years, the Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics philosophy has been the creation of ultra-luxury cosmetics and skincare formulated from natural ingredients.   Before anyone coined the term “Clean Beauty”, Youngblood set the highest standard for performance and quality by eliminating the use of any potentially skin irritating materials.  They created a product line suitable for ALL skin types, even the highest skin sensitivity, while targeting pigmentation, longevity, wearability, and versatility; their award-winning products have since been endorsed by leading dermatologists and plastic surgeons worldwide.

My favorite cream blush, Tropicana, a peach with gold shimmer, is one that I got from Youngblood probably 5 years ago. It’s easy to apply, long wearing, beautiful, and even after all this time, it’s still going strong! I’m so happy to add to my Youngblood makeup collection and get to try their skincare products for the first time.

Support Ukraine Skincare Set

Recently, I was contacted by one of Youngblood’s PR folks, one of whom created a promotion that helps support Ukraine. I am all in with anything that helps support the people of Ukraine, so I wanted to share news of this promotion with you.

Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics has joined with Americares, a 501(c)(3) non-profit health-focused relief organization, in support of the humanitarian crisis caused by the ongoing war in Ukraine.  In support of the relief efforts, 20% of the purchase price of each box, now through December 31st 2022, will be donated to Americares in support of its Ukraine response. Working with Americares, Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics consumers can help make a difference.

The Support Ukraine Skincare Set comes in a black box with yellow and blue ribbons, the colors of the Ukrainian flag. Inside, you will find:

  • Micellar Water with Colloidal Water (full size)
  • Hydra Luxe Water Crème (full size)
  • Petite Eye Impact Revitalizing Eye Treatment
  • Petite Daily Enzyme Exfoliant Crème.

The special price for the Support Ukraine Skincare Set is $70, whereas if purchased separately, the items would be $126! It’s a win-win: you get some terrific skincare products while doing something good for the people of Ukraine.

There was also a Support Ukraine Makeup Set, but it is currently sold out. Nevertheless, I was told it will be back in stock again very soon, so check back.

Youngblood Glow Boosting Collection

Though I haven’t tried the Support Ukraine Set because there are a limited number of them available, I have been using the Glow Boosting Collection. I am enjoying the travel-size products in this 4 product collection immensely. In fact, I selected the Glow Boosting Collection because, not only do the products contain antioxidants for radiant skin, they provide an instant boost of hydration. For some reason, this winter my skin feels drier than usual, so I appreciate the help from the hyaluronic acid and other hydrating ingredients in this collection.

The Glow Boosting Collection contains:

  • Micelllar Water with Colloidal Water
  • Nourishing Cleansing Oil
  • Intense Hydrating and Soothing Masque
  • Radiance Renewal Treatment Glow Serum

The skincare products are gentle and very lightly fragranced. Although the travel-size containers will come in handy for my next trip, I have been using the Intense Hydration and Soothing Masque repeatedly because it really helps!

The Glow Boosting Collection is priced at $69 and is sold on the Youngblood website

Youngblood Better Not Pout Lip & Cheek Duo

You definitely won’t pout if you have the Better Not Pout Lip & Cheek Duo around! The two items comes in a capacious faux leather gold makeup bag. The bag itself is perfect for travel or for storing the makeup items I use most often because it has a flat bottom and stands up, making it easy to see what the heck I’ve got in there!

Sugar Plum Pressed Mineral Blush

As you may know if you read NSDB from time to time, I’m all about cream makeup, especially cream blush. That’s why when I say that my old Youngblood Tropicana Cream Blush is the holy grail, I meant it. That said, I was open to trying Sugar Plum Pressed Mineral Blush.

Sugar Plum Pressed Mineral Blush is silky smooth and easy to apply. Truth be told, I often apply it with my finger and then blend it. Plus, it’s much longer wearing than cream blush, but that’s no surprise.

The shade, Sugar Plum, is very close to my fave, Tropicana. That surprised me because it looks so light in the pan and even when I swatch it.

Sugar Plum was designed to complement the lipstick, but with its natural flush of peachy goodness, I thought it was designed for me!

Vixen Mineral Crème Lipstick

When I lived in New York, I wore red lipstick frequently. Here in the sticks, not so much. But red lipstick is still my spiritual favorite.

Vixen is a true red, a perfect neutral red that even a redhead can wear!

It goes on very smoothly in one swipe. It’s very lightweight and very pigmented. That’s a lot of “very”s but they suit this gorgeous lipstick.

The lipstick is formulated with Vitamin E and Jojoba Seed Oil for hydration. On my dry lips, it is lightly hydrating and not drying, the way some ultra-pigmented reds can be.

It doesn’t feather or bleed. Yay! I’m not wearing a lipliner, but if I were going out, I would wear a lipliner to even out my uneven lipline.

The square black and gold packaging is substantial and luxurious. The magnetized top clicks into place. It’s perfect for the holiday season! We’re going to a cocktail party at a local museum on Saturday evening, and I plan on wearing Vixen. Actually, I’ll wear both the blush and the lipstick!

Here I am in a hoodie ‘coz it’s so cold in my house, wearing the blush and lipstick over bare skin with no eye makeup or foundation! What a look, but you really get to see the lipstick and blush!!!

The Better Not Pout Cheek & Lip Duo are currently on sale for $37 instead of the regular $50. At $37, it’s a steal! In fact, sold individually, the blush is priced at $28 and the lipstick at $22. With the set, you get the fab makeup bag for free, but at the holiday price of $37, it’s an amazing deal 😀

I think the Better Not Pout Duo would make a wonderful gift for a red lipstick lover or a nice treat for yourself to wear to holiday parties and events. Check it out on the Youngblood website.

Final Thoughts

I’m so happy to find out that Youngblood is still going strong and to get to wear Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics again. If you’re not familiar with the brand, I suggest that you peruse the website. And please do consider the Support Ukraine special sets as well as the regular product lineup.
