New Year’s Eve is tomorrow night, yikes! Though the holidays are almost over for this year, I want to show you a gorgeous nail polish that you could certainly wear tomorrow night or for Valentine’s Day or anytime, if you’re a glitter girl like me. Milani Ruby Jewels.
Ruby Jewels is a true red with fine red sparkles that you can see in the bottle. It looks almost like metallic red nail polish till the light picks up the glitter, and then it just glows. I love it! And unlike glitter polishes with big glitter pieces, this is easy to remove.
I applied it last night over my new Deborah Lippmann Gel Base Coat. The Milani Ruby Jewels needs two coats. The formula is on the thin side (in a good way), and it’s fast drying. Then I topped it off with Deborah Lippmann Gel Topcoat that is absolutely amazing. I will do a separate post on my Deborah Lippmann Limited Edition Nail Lacquer that I bought on a whim from HSN at http://www.hsn.com/shop/beauty/bs
Excuse my messy mani. I bought a manicure cleanup pen CVS brand that was a total fail, didn’t remove my mistakes at all. Definitely, don’t buy that!
Milani Nail Lacquer are 3-free: no DBP, toluene or formaldehyde. The bottle contains 0.45 fl. oz./13.2mL, and it is made in the USA.
So if you love red polish and a bit of flash, find Milani Ruby Jewels 23A before it disappears. I’m not sure if it’s part of their permanent lineup. My guess is that this polish may be gone after the holidays or after Vday, but I’m not sure.
Milani Cosmetics can be found at CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Kmart, Fred Meyer and on the web at milanicosmetics.com. It’s also on drugstore.com, Amazon.com, and random websites. I got this polish as a gift from the company in one of the Milani lips-shaped makeup bags that were part of my recent giveaway. The regular price seems to range from $3.49 to just over $5, and it’s $4.49 on milanicosmetics.com.
Happy New Year and all the best in 2014!!

This is a gorgeous red. I must check this one out. I’m totally into glitter right now probably because I have the time to do my nails 😉
