Scorolash Eyelash Volumizing Growth Serum

I was late to the party in learning about the Grande Lash Class Action lawsuit (here). In fact, I bought a mini-tube of Grande Lash just before news hit about the hormones in the Grande Lash and other lash and brow growth formulas like RapidLash, a longtime favorite of mine.

The controversial ingredient at the heart of the suit is ICP or Isopropyl Chloprostenate, defined in the cosmetics dictionary as a “hair conditioner”. ICP is a “prostaglandin analogue” or a synthetic version of prostaglandin that encourages hair growth by extending the length of the hair cycle. ICP technically makes those lash serums “drugs”, though they are sold over the counter rather than via prescription where a medical person would be aware of their use by their patients.

At any rate, when I saw an ad for Scorolash Eyelash Volumizing Growth Serum just after I wrote about the Grande Lash lawsuit, I was eager to learn more about Scorolash, a lash growth serum without ICP.

Scorolash Eyelash Volumizing Growth Serum

Scorolash is a natural/clean beauty, vegan and cruelty-free lash growth serum. The brand also makes a brow growth serum, too.

The lash serum has the typical wand, a mini-paintbrush, so you can apply it along your upper and lower lash lines.

This is how Scorolash works to help grow longer lashes, according to the company:

“Our lash stimulating peptide complex supports the lash’s natural renewal cycle making your lashes longer, fuller, and healthier. The mineral dense formula helps replenish lashes with essential proteins and vitamins that provide luster and shine.

Unique moisturizing agents provide superior hydration to lashes by locking in moisture while improving flexibility and elasticity.”

The ingredient list is brief and chock full of well-known moisturizers, natural oils and extracts:

Aqua, Hyaluronate, Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17, Pentylene Glycol, Panax Ginseng Extract, Swertia Japonica Extract, Panthenol, Pumpkin Seed Extract, Acorus Calamus Root Extract, Serenoa Serrulata Fruit Extract, Oligopeptide-10, Tocopherol.

The product comes with a 60 day guarantee. If you’re not satisfied with your lash growth, Scorolash will refund your money in full.

My Experience with Scorolash

I bought Scorolash at the beginning of February. However, for the past couple of years, I was using a variety of other lash serums. Unlike many of the women who commented on the Scorolash website who had breakage from lash extensions prior to using Scorolash, my lashes were in decent shape though I wanted to increase my little lashes toward the inner corners of my eyes.

However, we traveled so much in February and March, and I didn’t bring Scorolash with me on our travels. I started using it in April, but I haven’t been using it as often as Scorolash recommends: twice a day, everyday, especially during the first month of use. They say that you can see results in 2-4 weeks! Silly me, I ignored their instructions, and I used it once a day, a couple of times a week.

Nevertheless, my experience with Scorolash has been positive. My lashes seem longer to me, and there seem to be more of them especially at the corners. Scorolash includes graphs to measure your lashes in millimeters to monitor your progress. I just discovered the graphs and will try to use them more often!

It’s really hard to take a photo of your own lashes holding the graph, but here’s what I got at this point:

Looks like I’m at around 6mm, so I will continue trying this again maybe when Jeff is around to take the photo?

Here is another hideous and scary photo of me taken 10 hours after applying my makeup, so I definitely recommend looking at the photos from some of the customer reviews that are very impressive.

In fact, I think I will try harder to use Scorolash serum more often. Because I use Restasis at night and in the morning for my dry eye issues, I am sometimes concerned that using lash growth serum might interrupt my dry eye prescription or make my eyes feel sensitive. But so far, no issues, so I should try to stay on schedule and continue to monitor any additional progress.

Retail Info

Scorolash is sold only on the Scorolash website.I bought Scorolash during a sale, and I may have gotten my tube at 50% off. There was also free shipping.

The regular price of Scorolash Eyelash Volumizing Growth Serum is $34. Each tube is supposed to last 1-2 months depending on how often you apply.

If you decide to subscribe, you can save 25%. Also, if you purchase 2 or 3 tubes at a time, you also save.

I am satisfied with my experience with Scorolash. I need to use it according to the manufacturer’s recommendation, and see if it makes even more of a difference. But just the fact that my little inner lashes are growing, I’m pleased. I will repurchase when I use up my tube.

Have you tried Scorolash? If so, what did you think?

I never use a lash serum twice a day. I’m too forgetful for that plus I keep my serum in my “night” bathroom. I’m almost done with my current lash serum so I’ll try this one and hope I get some growth. I’d be thrilled.

    1. That makes total sense, Marcia. On the other hand, I don’t have an excuse since I have to apply eye drops in the morning and at night. Oh well. I will at least try to apply Scorolash once every day rather than sporadically. The fact that Scorolash doesn’t have that chemical makes it worth a try and more regularly. I need to figure out how to photograph the graph that Scorolash includes so I can measure my progress!
