On Wednesday, we’re expecting from 5-12 inches of snow…to go on top of the 2 inches we got today. I think that groundhog needs to go back and look again for his shadow. I’m so sick of grey skies and dirty snow. I’ve been dreaming about summer or the Caribbean.
Since neither seems to be in the cards for me, I’m so happy I got a chance to make believe I’m in the tropics with Milani’s new Lip Intense Liquid Color that’s hitting the stores right about now!
I received Fiery Coral (left) and Pink Rave (right) to try,
two of the four new shades that also include Red Extreme and Violet Addict.
This is super-intense, super-saturated, dazzling, put on your sunglasses color. The two shades I got make me want to put on my swimsuit, beach hat and flip-flops and head to the beach!
Milani Lip Intense Liquid Color goes on glossy, but is not at all sticky. And it wears like a lipstick. It has no discernible taste or scent. What’s so amazing to me is that it’s as light as a feather. I mean the lightest feeling lip color I’ve ever worn. And unless I eat a greasy meal, it lasts for hours.
The packaging is so cool. I love the shape of the “tube”; it’s so different.
It’s flat and fits easily into a pocket, so it’s really portable.
And it’s easy to apply with the sponge-tip applicator. These lippies are great to pair with Milani’s new Anti-feathering Transparent Lipliner that I reviewed a couple of weeks ago (link to review here), shown with all the shades in one of the photos above.
On me, Pink Rave reads pink/purple and looks “cool” rather than warm on my skin.
The Fiery Coral reads hot pink with undertones of salmon and looks warm on my lips.
I can’t decide which shade suits me better: the coral or the pink.
Oh, I love ’em both! And they’ll have to keep me in a summer state of mind till the real thing arrives.
Milani Lip Intense Liquid Color is priced around $6.49 and it’s available at CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, and milanicosmetics.com. It contains 0.20 fl.oz/6 g. It’s parabens-free and cruelty-free, and it’s made in the US.

Both colours look great on you! How do these fare in the scent/taste department?
Thanks, Rach, for reminding me about that. As far as I could tell, there was no discernible taste or scent. Though some Milani lip products do have a scent, these did not. Nor do the Milani Power Lip. I should edit the post and add that!
Oh that is good news! I hear so many wonderful things about Milani lip products but I can never get past that melon scent they seem to favour. Now I can try with less trepidation. 😀
I just went back to check again, Rach, to be sure. The Lip Intense has a faint chemical smell if I stick my nose on the applicator but no scent or taste on the lips. The Power Lip which I adore has no scent/taste and no chemical scent.
I’m so with you on Summer wishes, It’s been snowing all night and almost all day today. Tomorrow the temps drop to below freezing! SO DONE WITH WINTER. Fiery Coral looks gorgeous!!

Thanks so much! I like the Fiery Coral better on me too. It’s like “hot salmon” color. I’m just getting ready to go out to shovel. It’s still snowing and we got 10 inches so far. I’m going to Phoenix and SF for work, and I am so looking forward to it!
Hi Allison, both colours look absolutely FAB on you!!!! Nothing like a bright liippy to lift up our spirits….. Enjoy and let’s all pray for some warm and sunny weather. It has been brutally cold in my neck of the woods with another 15 cms of snow today ugh…. but as a true diva, I bundle up and make up in Montreal style!!!
Thank you, Nathalie! I think I’m favoring the Fiery Coral now.
That’s so adorable, Nathalie! I love Montreal Style! I wish I could say I did the same. My biz trip was rescheduled because of the bad weather here in the Northeast and Midwest US, so I was at home. I just spent 2 1/2 hrs shoveling, and I didn’t think I needed makeup to do that. I came in looking like the Abominable Snowman!
The colors look so nice on you. They are the hot colors for 2014 and match up with the pretty Pantone Color of the Year – Radiant Orchid.

The line is super-intense shades that are great for summer. They are “hot” in every sense of the word. Pink Rave is fairly close to Radiant Orchid, a little pinker and a little darker but close enough! Thanks, Judy, for your comment. I got ’em both!
You are too funny, as a 50+ woman and the kids now gone (as well as hubby) I sold my house and moved into a condo….. no more shoveling, taking out the garbage etc…. spending my time more productively by reading your blog and now, thanks to you, Tine’s & Judi’s (Taking care of my Heart)!!!!!
What a great idea, Nathalie! After spending more than 2 hours shoveling yesterday,I hear ya! I’m not quite ready to downsize and leave my garden behind, but one of these days… 😉 And one of these days, I’ve gotta come back to visit Montreal. I haven’t been there since I was a kid. Thanks again for reading my blog as well as Tine’s and Judi’s, they’re both favorites for me, too 🙂
I have and love pink rave. After reading this I think I’ll have to snatch up the coral one as well. The both look great on you and your right a fun lippie is exactly what we need when facing this dreaded weather. I really love these new Milani lippies and I WANT more shades. This formula is really great! Great post doll.

That’s great, Shalunya, that you’ve got Pink Rave, too! I think it’s a great shade for blondes like you 🙂 I’m surprised that Milani is offering only 4 shades in this line, as of now. I hope they expand the line too!
I’m still loving the Milani lip liner!!

Glad the liner is still working for you, Monica! I’m leaving on an extended biz trip soon, and I’m taking that lip liner with me. So handy!
These are so pretty colors, each one is just perfect and looks good on you

Thank you, beautycareforwomen! I think they’re really pretty too 🙂
Moi again! Allison if you ever feel like taking a trip to Montreal I would be honored to be yo tour guide (and shopping guru). You can stay here as I have a very comfortable guest room that includes a makeup vanity as well as an en-suite bathroom (just like a hotel)…. Food for thought!!
Oh my goodness, what a generous and fun offer, Nathalie! Perhaps when my signif other goes off to visit his buddy for a weekend, I could come up to Montreal and get to meet you in person and see the sights! I’ll wait for the nice weather to return, and start practicing my French 😉
Thank you for your thoughtfulness and generosity!
Bonjour Allison, That would be great, and no need to brush up on your francais as my mother-tongue is French so you will be just fine!!! Late summer/early fall are wonderful times to visit our city!!! Let me know whenever you are interested in a little weekend getaway to Montreal and I will take care of the rest!!!! Bon Journée la belle Allison xoxoxoxo
Merci beaucoup, Nathalie! I so appreciate your kind offer. I will keep my fingers crossed that a weekend getaway will be possible then so I can meet you and see the city. <3
They both look gorgeous on you!

I love both the pink and coral on you! I love anything in pink……LOL! My next best color I like is corals!
I agree, Beth. Pink and coral are my favorites. However, I just got the red and I’m dying to try it!! Thanks for your comment 🙂
