Though we still have more than a month of summer, autumn will be here before we know it. Boo. Outside of Boston, the sun is now setting before 8pm. Ugh.
But there are some things that I like about autumn:
- autumn leaves (my neighbors’ maple leaves are dropping already and ending up on my lawn)
- Halloween
- the Topsfield Fair
- apple cider donuts,
just to name a few.
Autumn scents and fragrances are among my favorites. Plum is such a delicious, fruity and fall-ish scent. If you follow my blog, you may remember that the limited edition fragrance, Spiced Plum, is or was, since it’s now discontinued, my favorite scent from the English brand, Molton Brown. Thankfully, I have stockpiled plenty of it!
Nest Autumn Plum Scented Candles
Recently I discovered that the home fragrance brand, Nest, has a plum scent, too! Their small votive candle, Autumn Plum, is lovely. It comes in Nest’s signature box with plum and gold helping to announce the scent.
The candle is set in dark purple glass with stripes of plum and gold. The glass is reusable, or it can be recycled.
The scent is divine. Here’s how Nest describes Autumn Plum:
“This votive fall candle captures the sweet, woody aroma of freshly fallen autumn leaves with wild plum and cinnamon wrapped in the warmth of patchouli leaf and kashmir wood.”
It’s a complex scent, spicy and deep. It’s fruity and a gourmand fragrance. I love it!
Nest candles are:
- cruelty-free and vegan
- free from formaldehyde, phthalates and parabens
- clean burning with 100% lead-free and cotton wicks
- made from tinted wax
- made in the US.

I can’t help but agree!
The votive size – 2 oz./70g – is said to burn for 20-28 hours. This smallish size is priced at an affordable $22.
The other three sizes include:
- Classic: 50-60 hours
- 3-wick: 75-100 hours
- Luxury: 100-120 hours.
