Workout Clothes from Dona Jo Redux

I’ve been trying to get back into jogging on a more regular basis. I still walk (fast) for exercise and ride my bike with Jeff from time to time. But even though my “running” is jogging at best, I think it is good to jog and change up my routine.

It was a beautiful, cool evening tonight, and I decided to jog instead of walking. Because the temperature was lower than it was last week, I looked through my exercise clothing stash to see what would work in this weather.

Dona Jo Brand Activewear (written about on NSDB here)

Note: My camera colors are waaaaaay off! I took these photos at night in yellowish light, and it changed the colors of the clothing drastically. The top is cobalt blue. The leggings are navy blue.

Running Crop Leggings

I found my Dona Jo Running Crop leggings in Navy. On petite 5 foot moi, they are just about ankle length/almost full length on me, about 2″ longer on me than on the normal height model on the website. Perfect for me as almost full length pants!

These crop leggings are lightweight, excellent for cool summer evenings or spring/fall in New England. Plus, they have a small pocket in the back of the waistband that’s handy for carrying an ID, a couple of dollars, or a key.

The Running Crop leggings also come in Black.

The benefits include:

  • 4way-stretch material for easy sizing and form-fitting design
  • High-rise waistband for the right amount of coverage
  • Waistband pocket for the on-the-go runner.
  • Flat seams for comfort
  • Quick-dry fabric
  • UV Protection

The Running Crop leggings provide compression and look good on. They’re very comfortable to wear for jogging, walking, biking, or other kinds of activities. I love them! I intended to buy a pair of the Black Crops since they are on sale with an additional 20% off, but they are sold out of my size, Medium. Boo.

If Crop Leggings would actually be cropped on you, and you prefer full length leggings (with a 26″ inseam) called Running Leggings, they have those too!

Move Shirt

I also discovered in my stash the Move Shirt, still with the tags on. I guess I didn’t have a chance to wear it, and I forgot that I owned it! The Move Shirt is a lightweight, waist length, loose fitting for movement, long sleeve top, with a cross-over back that can open slightly at the back waistline.

My shirt is Oceano, a cobalt blue (the color in the photo above) that they seem to have discontinued, though it is also available in White, Black, Navy, Pink, Fuchsia, Plum, and Light Green. I was planning on buying the Plum (they call the plum shade, Blueberry), a gorgeous shade that’s also on sale, but again the Medium is sold out.

The Move Shirt is extremely comfortable. I loved jogging in it.

The Move Shirt’s benefits include:

  • 20.5″ shirt length
  • Made with LINK® 4-way stretch material
  • Lightweight, breathable and loose fitting
  • UVB protection 50+
