We have been having cool days and cooler nights during the end of August and early September. As a result, the leaves are turning color much earlier than usual. I wish they would wait a little longer to turn. Or at least I wish they will hold onto the trees little longer ‘coz I am absolutely not ready for bare limbs yet.
Fortunately, the temperature approached 80 degrees on Friday, and my friends and I ended up going to the beach that’s at the end of the main street about 2 miles away, West Beach. The usual attendant is no longer there after Labor Day so we were able to go without a sticker. Yay! The light was golden, and it was a heavenly afternoon.
I’m hoping that Jeff and I will be able to go to the beach on Saturday for at least a couple of hours. I want to hold onto summer for as long as I can!
