Just Natural Hair and Skincare

I’ve been trying hard to incorporate more natural and organic products into my skincare and haircare routines over the past year. Since skincare and haircare ingredients are absorbed into the body, I am sometimes a little uneasy about some products that I used to use all the time. So I am actively seeking out new brands to try.

How lucky that I was given the opportunity to try out several products from Just Natural! Just Natural is a brand that focuses on skincare and haircare. Their tagline is “Effective Powerful Formulas Inspired by Nature.” I like the fact that they say “effective, powerful” right upfront because that addresses one of the concerns I have had in the past with other natural product lines: they are made with good stuff but they don’t work as well as products with synthetic chemicals. Not so this brand!

And Just Natural Hair and Skincare has a host of other benefits to recommend it:

You’ve gotta check out the Just Natural website. Everything you might want to know, or at least everything I want to know about their products and ingredients is there. It’s so complete!

From their extensive product line, I chose two skincare and two haircare products:

  • Just Natural Anti-aging Eye Cream
  • Just Natural Anti-aging Nutritive Serum
  • Just Natural Shampoo to Remove Build-up (Clarifying Shampoo)
  • Just Natural Color Care Natural Conditioner

Anti-aging Eye Cream

As soon as the products arrived, I tried out the eye cream immediately. I’ve mentioned a number of times in the past that I have sensitive skin and dry eyes. In fact, I have a weird skin condition called blepharitis that makes my eyelids look red and inflamed. Not my favorite look. Plus my eyelids and crease are exceptionally dry. As a result, I’m always looking for soothing eye creams. However, many eye serums and creams have ingredients in them that exacerbate my problem.

Just Natural Anti-aging Eye Cream is so creamy, soothing, hydrating, and super-gentle. No burning like I often experience from other eye creams. It immediately became my go-to eye cream!

Just Natural Anti-aging Eyecream

But you don’t have to have skin or eye problems to love Just Natural Anti-aging Eye Cream. It’s great for all types of skin. And over time, it helps to reduce fine lines and reduce the appearance of crow’s feet. My eyes looked improved right away applying it, and the skin around my eyes feels so much better. Oh, and did I say that it smells great? It has a lovely mild herbal scent that I really like.

The Anti-aging Eye Cream comes in a substantial 2 ounce brown plastic jar that has an apothecary look. When it arrived, it was in an unbleached muslin bag along with a couple of plastic scoops to use to scoop up the product from the jar so I don’t have to put my fingers in it. Very nice. The price is $48.99, and it is a large jar that I know will last me a long time.

Ingredients

Rose Hydrosol, Aloe Vera Hydrosol, Rosehip Seed Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Camellia Seed Oil, Borage Oil, Squalane Olive Oil, Black Currant Seed Oil, Coconut Oil Fractionated, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Bayberry Wax, Vegetable emulsifiers, Sweet Orange Blossom Essential Oil, Caprylyl Glycol, Glycerin, Vitamin E.

Anti-aging Nutritive Serum: Lifting Vitamin C Serum

I’m a big believer in vitamin C serums. I’ve read a lot about the scientific research that has shown the effectiveness of this ingredient in brightening skin and helping to fade hyperpigmentation. I use it every day.

What I especially love about Just Natural Anti-aging Nutritive Serum is that it doesn’t contain any water, silicone, alcohol or fillers of any kind, just natural nutrients to lift, firm and brighten skin from the inside out. And because of the natural oils and ingredients, it smells herbal and wonderful. A little bit of this serum goes a long way. Anti-aging Nutritive Serum has definitely given my skin a glow, and it feels so moisturized.

Just Natural Anti-aging Nutritive Serum, vitamin C

Because it has no water, alcohol or other fillers, it is a combination of oils. Some nights, I use it as my moisturizer with nothing else on top. It feels wonderful. I don’t know if it’s appropriate or not, but I also apply it to the raw skin on my thumbs from the exfoliative keratolysis that I get every summer. It feels so good.

Anti-aging Nutritive Serum comes in a one fluid ounce brown glass bottle to protect the effectiveness of the ingredients. It has a dropper to apply the serum. The price is $37.99.

Ingredients

Avocado Fruit Oil, Pomegranate Seed Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Foraha Oil, Borage Oil, Rosehip Oil, Kukui Nut Oil, Camellia Seed Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Jojoba Oil, Essential Oils of Orange, Geranium, Frankincense, Palmarosa, Lemongrass, Chia Seed Oil, Natural Vitamin E.

Shampoo To Remove Build-up

For years, I was a devoted user of Neutragena’s Clarifying Shampoo. I switched to the Clarifying Shampoo for Color-Treated Hair when it became available. I don’t know what happened. After years of use, I stopped buying Neutragena hair care.

But I have always missed having a shampoo that could remove buildup from conditioners, hair masks, regular shampoo, and especially from styling products. You know when your hair looks flat? That’s usually from buildup. It’s also great for removing chlorine if you swim in a pool Use a clarifying shampoo about once a week, and all is right with the world…or at least my hair looks a lot better.

So I was excited when I saw the Just Natural Shampoo to Remove Buildup on the product list. Yes! The shampoo is gentle and safe for color-treated hair so I didn’t have to worry about using it on my color-treated red hair. I wet my hair thoroughly, massaged in the shampoo, and let it sit on my hair for a few minutes while I shaved my legs (per the directions), and then rinsed it out. My hair felt very, squeaky clean 🙂

Just Natural Shampoo to Remove Buildup

In addition to removing buildup and leaving my hair feeling super clean, another key benefit is the scent. OMG, I adore the smell of this shampoo. It’s a mixture of papaya and peppermint. It smells so fresh and fabulous!

Shampoo to Remove Build-Up comes in a 16 oz. brown plastic pump bottle. It’s going to last me a looooooong time. It is priced at $27.99. I <3 this product!!

Ingredients

Aloe Vera Hydrosol, Burdock Extract, Papaya Extract, Peppermint Essential Oil, Cajeput Essential Oil, Grapefruit Essential Oil, Natural cleansers, Orange Essential Oil, Spearmint Essential Oil, Rice Protein, Guar Gum, Cellulose, Vegetable Glycerin, Citric Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, White Willow Bark Extract, Panthenol Vitamin B5

Color Care Natural Conditioner

I was most excited about trying a new color-safe conditioner. When I pumped some of the Just Natural Color Care Natural Conditioner out of the 16 oz. brown plastic pump bottle, the product looked a little different to me. It was thick and white like most other conditions. But it looked shinier, as if it were made from oils rather than traditional synthetic chemicals. So I was a bit nervous that it might give a different result. Not to worry, I massaged it through my hair and left it on for a couple of minutes. I had no trouble at all rinsing it out. My hair was tangle-free, smooth, flexible, and it still felt very clean.

Just Natural Color Care Natural Conditioner

I used my usual John Frieda 3 Day Straight, blew dry my hair and used the straight iron, as always. My hair looked and felt great. Jeff even remarked without prompting that my hair looked beautiful. Now that’s something! (Here I am in my “natural” state with no makeup but clean hair.)

Just Natural Color Care Natural Conditioner is priced at $23.99, and again, it will last me a long time. It takes only a couple of pumps to cover my thick mop, lol.

Ingredients

Aloe Vera Hydrosol, Cherry Kernel Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Camellia Seed Oil, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Cupuacu Butter, Evening Primrose Oil, Daikon Radish Seed Oil, Jojoba Protein, Coconut Oil, Vegetable emulsifier, Orange Blossom Essential Oil, Carrot Seed Essential Oil, Ylang Ylang Essential Oil, Vegetable Glycerin, Olive Oil, Caprylyl Glycol, Palmarosa Essential Oil, Guar Gum, Orange Wax, Citric Acid, Panthenol Vitamin B5

Thank you, Just Natural, for introducing me to your wonderful, natural and organic hair and skincare products! I’m loving them. And I love the fact that they don’t have the ingredients I want to avoid, they have the wonderful herbal ingredients that I love, and  they’re made in the US. If you’re trying to move away from synthetic chemicals in your skincare and haircare, take a look at the Just Natural website. You’ll be as amazed as I was by the breadth of their product line. They have products for all skin types including men’s skin and many skincare needs, including acne, eczema and psoriasis. Similarly, they’ve got products for all hair care needs including children, African-American hair, color-treated hair, extremely dry hair, itchy scalp, hair loss, and scalp fungus! If you’ve got a skin or hair problem, odds are Just Natural has a product for you 😉 Just Natural products are sold on their website and on Amazon.
