New Milani Color Statement Nail Lacquer

Milani sure has been busy lately. In addition to coming out with the brand new Bella Eyes Gel Powder shadow collection (reviewed here), they launched a brand new collection of Color Statement Nail Lacquer. And lucky me, I received them all to try out!

The new Milani Color Statement Nail Lacquer is all new. First, I ADORE the new packaging in the round bottles. They look so much more modern than the old bottles. And I love the fact that I can see the brand name on the bottle. Now, it really stands out!

So far, I have tried about 7 of the 37 shades. I am not one to change my polish every day like the nail bloggers do. I like to wear my polish for at least 5 days, and I am thrilled that the new Milani helps me achieve that goal! That’s the reason, actually, that I’ve tried less than a fourth of the shades. I haven’t had to change my polish often enough since I’ve received them to get through the colors. It’s Day 6 of the polishes I put on last week!

Also different about the new formula is something I discovered on my own. I was applying Pink Beige. I put on one coat, and I noticed that was enough. I thought it was a mistake, so I put on a second coat…just for good luck, I guess, because I really didn’t need it. Then, I looked at some info that the company included with the polish that said, “One stroke. High-gloss finish. Long-lasting color.” Oh, they’re right! One coat would’ve done it. And yes, it was very glossy! I applied a coat of the Milani Color Statement topcoat because I didn’t want to take any chances. My hands are in water a lot, and I garden so I am hard on my polish. BTW, Milani says that the new polish is detergent and chip-resistant, and I have found, so far, that the new Milani formula is longer-lasting for me than the old formula was without a doubt.

The shades represent an amazing variety: sheers, creams, metallics, glitters with lots of colors. Actually, there’s a good selection of colors in the collection, except for a true nude shade (the Pink Beige is nude-ish). Thankfully, I still have their old nude shade that I still love. Here’s the color chart that Milani provided:

So far, I’ve done three manis using the new shades, and I’ve already shown you two of them. In the first one, I used the hot pink, Bombshell, and lighter pink, Dollface, with the glitter topper, Clublights, on the accent nail. I just love these girly pinks!

The second one appeared in my post on this summer’s hot color: orange. In this mani, I alternated different orange shades on my nails. I used Corrupted Coral and Mango Tango (and one of Milani’s old toppers, Sugar Rush on top of Mango Tango on the accent nail).

Last, here’s what’s on my nail right now: one of my favorite shades, Pink Beige, with Mauving Forward on my accent nail.

And here are swatches of all the polishes that I received. Boy, am I going to have fun making my way through all of them!

    1. Yurianna, you’ve got me! I am not a big Sally Hansen user so I am not familiar with it. I can say, however, that the Milani blue is a beautiful medium blue shade. I’ve gotta use it in a mani very soon! Thanks so much for your comment 🙂
