SOBO Ultra Age Repairing Cream with Reservatrol

For some time, I have wanted to try a skincare product with reservatrol.  I first heard about reservatrol in conjunction with red wine. It’s an ingredient in red wine that is supposed to prevent damage to blood vessels, help reduce cholesterol and prevent blood clots. That’s why I drink red wine every chance I get 😉

Later, I heard that reservatrol provided anti-aging benefits for skin as well by:

  • slowing the aging process
  • preventing damage from free radicals
  • acting as a barrier to protect collagen that helps skin stay youthful.

So I was happy when I got a chance via Brandbacker to try out SOBO Ultra Age Repairing Cream with Reservatrol.

SOBO Skincare describes their Ultra Age Repairing Cream with Reservatrol as follows:

  • Works to noticeably reduce the appearance, volume, and depth of wrinkles. (It) visibly minimizes the effects of aging and acts to soften the texture of skin for a younger, healthier look.
  • Pure multi-peptide complex with organic moisturizers.
  • Light but intense serum formula delivers a powerful wrinkle-fighting cocktail that includes resveratrol, squalene, and hyaluronic acid to reduce the appearance of wrinkles by up to 50% within just 28 days.
  • Soothing, all-natural jojoba oil and apricot kernel oil work together to moisturize and smooth for a healthy, youthful glow and drastically improved overall appearance.

The product has no parabens, sulfates, phthalates, GMOs, synthetic dyes/fragrances, triclosan. It is not tested on animals.

Additional information about the Ultra Age Repairing Cream with Reservatrol can be found on the SOBO Skincare website.

So what was my experience?

I received a 5 ml/0.16 fl. oz. deluxe sample of SOBO Ultra Age Repairing Cream with Reservatrol in a little pump bottle.

with reservatrol

Because this sample was enough for about a week, I can’t talk about long-term effects, but I can give you my initial impressions of the product. I used the product at night because it didn’t have SPF which is fine with me.

SOBO Ultra Age Repairing Cream was lightweight but substantial and moisturizing. It absorbed quickly and gave my skin a glow and a firm feeling. It’s a white, fragrance-free cream. I have dry, sensitive skin and I am sometimes concerned about trying new facial skincare products. But SOBO Ultra Repairing Cream with Reservatrol felt great on my skin. I liked it a lot. In fact, I wish I had more than this little bottle!

The full-size, one ounce, SOBO Ultra Age Repairing Cream with Reservatrol comes in a modern-looking, attractive jar.

I was a little surprised that it comes in a jar since the sample came in a pump bottle. Although I personally still like moisturizers in jars, I know that the cream is more hygienic and the ingredients retain their efficacy longer in a pump.

SOBO Ultra Age Repairing Cream with Reservatrol is part of SOBO Skincare’s anti-aging product line. It is regularly priced at $64, and it can be purchased through the SOBO Skincare website, here, with free shipping. SOBO has generously offered a 25% off discount on your first purchase with the code: TRYSOBO. In addition to the Ultra Age Repairing Cream with Reservatrol, SOBO also has Age Smoothing Eye Serum and Ultra HGF Youth Serum among other products including cleansers and moisturizers that are also subject to the discount.

  1. I have never tried any topical products but I do take a Reservatrol supplement every night. I make my husband as well. We take so many different supplements through out the day that I cannot say for sure that it benefits us cosmetically.

P.S. I was finally able to order that Vitamin C serum. I wont be able to use it right away since my face broke out badly from trying a new product last week. Grrr.

    1. Laura, I take a lot of supplements too. In fact, I just reordered the NeoCell Fish Collagen after I mistakenly order the wrong one (a joint formula with chrondriton etc.) And I love the biotin supplements – you should see my nails! BTW, there will be a new giveaway on my blog on Monday (that I haven’t written up yet!) from NeoCell so stay tuned! And you’re right, it’s hard to know what’s doing what! Sorry to hear your skin broke out. Oh well, it’ll heal! I was sent another vitamin C serum to use and review, and I don’t like it nearly as much as COUI Super C. The new one is the thin, watery formula with an odd smell. I soooooo prefer the COUI Super C Serum formula with its mild lemony scent and thicker formula that stays put on my skin! I’ve gotta buy another bottle coz I practically drank the first one they sent (finished up last night!).

  2. I’ve never tried an anti aging product with reservatrol probably because I’d rather drink it and use a Retin A for anti aging .. lol.

  3. I just got a serum from SOBO – also in that little deluxe sample size. I like it so far, but am a little bummed by the small amount of product to try.

    1. Yes, it was a disappointment to get such a small size, Nidia. Small size + short turn-around time = inaccurate review. However, I really liked the SOBO Ultra Age Repairing Cream in the short time I was using it!

  4. This sounds like a great product!

I think I may have tried Reservatrol in the past but truthfully I try so much stuff and I’m getting old so I can’t keep track any more hahaha!

    Have a great weekend!

    1. This was my first, and I like it a lot. Wish I had received a larger bottle to try out!

  10. I just got this in the mail yesterday and was kind of “hmmmm” when I seen the size of the product, especially with the review turnaround time since I like to use skincare for at least a month. I’m hoping I will be able to get an idea of the product within the allotted time from.

  12. I have heard of Reversatrol (sp?) before. I think BITE beauty puts it in some of their lip products. Not sure if I need it yet but prevention is usually the best way to treat skin issues.

    1. Most likely if you’re in your 20s or 30s, you just need to use a regular moisturizer, Ashley. But reservatrol is good to find out about for the future!

  13. I’m going to be 34 and I’ve been slathering on the anti-aging creams for years. I’m terrified of needles so it’s all I have haha

  14. Lois L says:

I too wish they had sent you a larger size product to review. I wonder what the 28 day period (they mention) would be like. Sounds like a nice cream though. PS-I would prefer a pump for the product. Even though with a jar you know how much product you have, using a pump is a bit more hygienic as you say.

    1. Thanks for your comment, Lois! I agree. I like this product a lot, but the size was too small to give it an accurate test. That said, it definitely agrees with my sensitive skin. And yes, why not put it in a pump since the sample is in a pump??

  15. I totally love Paraben and sulphate free products! Thanks a lot for introducing this to me Allison! <3
