Gleam Radiant Dust by Melanie Mills

I jumped at the chance to receive a sample of Gleam Radiant Dust by Melanie Mills, Emmy award-winning makeup artist, because one of the shades this luxury, loose powder comes in is rose gold. You know I adore everything rose gold.

Radiant Dust comes in four shades:

  • light gold dust
  • rose gold dust
  • bronze gold dust
  • deep gold dust.

They look different on every skin tone so you can try them all.

Radiant Dust is crafted from pearls and all-natural ingredients that draw light in rather than reflect it. Thus, it gives a beautiful subtle glow rather than a glittery look. A multi-tasker, it can be used as eye shadow, blush or highlighter, bronzer, or to give your décolletage, arms or legs a subtle, shimmery glow.

Last week, I received a small jar Radiant Dust, and I could hardly wait to try it.

The jar has a sifter, so I shook some powder into the cap to apply it. I found it lovely to use as rose gold eye shadow. It was easy to apply with an eye makeup brush. Because I wanted to see what it was like on its own, I didn’t blend it with other eye shadows.

The small cap of the sample jar just fit my new Sonia Kashuk contour brush, thank goodness, so I was able to apply it to my cheeks and body without much trouble. The contour brush was perfect for that purpose! Nevertheless, I was surprised that the website doesn’t show a picture or give the size of the regular product, so it’s not possible to know how much you’ll be receiving or what it will look like…or maybe I just missed it??

I applied it to my cheeks as a blush/highlighter in one. Again, I loved the subtle, bronzy glow that it gave my face. I thought it looked good with what remained of my tan.

I also dusted some on my chest. Since my chest still has a tan, it didn’t show up as well as I thought it would, but it could be because it was a cloudy day. I tried it on the inside of my forearm, and under the lights, the powder is gorgeous. It provides just enough shimmer as well as a warm glow from the rose gold shade!

Il think rose gold is a great shade for me, but unfortunately, it doesn’t show up very well in my photos. It’s either the camera or my photography skills. Sorry. (That yellow foliage really is incredible, isn’t it?)

I read on the website that Radiant Dust has a “warm vanilla scent”. With the small amount that I applied, I was unable to smell it. But sniffing the little jar, I did get a whiff of the beautiful, almost floral-vanilla scent.

Radiant Dust is made with “anti-aging elements found in Green Tea and White Tea Extract, hydrating aloe vera, a skin nutrition blend of antioxidants, and the Gleam Hydroplex”.  It is also talc-free, and paraben-, sulfate-, GMO-, and phalate-free. All Gleam products are made in the USA, are cruelty-free and displays the Leaping Bunny logo.

Gleam Radiant Dust is priced at $59, and it is sold on the Gleam website along with a few other intriguing products that also impart a lovely glow. Check it out and see if it’s right for you. You can also find Gleam on Facebook and on Twitter. With the holidays just a couple of months away, Radiant Dust could be a great addition to your makeup stash. It would look particularly fabulous with a strapless dress!

    1. I believe that it is, Nidia. I think it’s their Body Radiance, a cream shimmer product that they use, though they may use both. And thank you so much. The yellow behind me was leaves that turned on one of my beech trees, but they have all fallen off now 🙁
