I have waaaaay too much makeup. In spite of having decent storage for my makeup brushes, most nail polish, and my Milani shadow singles, everything else is stored rather randomly. So I managed to lose track of the Eddie Funkhouser lipsticks and lipgloss that I won some time ago in a great giveaway on Cindy Ingalls’ blog, Prime Beauty. I was so happy to find them again!
Well-known professional makeup artist Eddie Funkhouser launched his line of premium quality, mid-priced makeup a little more than two years ago. It is sold on his website and other websites including dermstore.com and Amazon. Eddie Funkhouse Color Cosmetics are cruelty-free.
The lipsticks and lipgloss arrived in a chic black box with Eddie Funkhouser’s signature written in silver on the top. I’ve saved the box all this time ‘coz I can’t bear to part with his autograph!
I received two lipsticks from the Chromographic Lip Color line described as follows on the Eddie Funkhouser website: “Chromographic Lip Color saturates lips with vibrant hues and light reflecting particles for a creamy finish and eye-catching multi-dimensional effects.” In addition to being gorgeous multi-dimensional shades, they are wonderfully hydrating!
My two lipstick shades are:
- Kiki, coral pink
- Skinny Dip, buff pink beige.
The lipsticks have a NET WT. 4 g / 0.1 fl. oz. and are priced at $11.99.
The lipgloss is from the Hyperreal Hydrating Lip Gloss line described on the website as “a lightweight, low-tack formula that provides a brilliant, color-rich, multidimensional finish to lips in universal shades.” Love the formula. So wearable. I got Love Rush, a gorgeous coral glaze is translucent. I usually wear it on top of my many peach and coral lipsticks. The lipgloss contains 5.5 ml / 0.18 fl. oz. and is priced at $10.99.
Here are swatches of the lipsticks and gloss.
Have you tried Eddie Funkhouser makeup yet? If not, check it out!
On a different topic, don’t forget to enter my giveaway for a chance to win a jar of StriVectin Repair & Protect Moisturizer SPF 30, retail price $89. It’s a terrific moisturizer with a niacin-derived ingredient that I love to see in my skincare. It’s also an opportunity to try out a very pricey skincare product! Because of the vacation week, the giveaway has fewer entries than I would have predicted for a luxury brand like StriVectin. Give it a shot by entering here.
Never heard of this brand before. The formula sounds amazing and those colors are so pretty too!
Have a great weekend Allison and Happy 4TH!!!
The Eddie Funkhouse makeup brand used to be sold at select Rite Aid stores but I don’t think they are there anymore, nevertheless they’re still easy to get online. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, Laura. Are you BBQing at your parents’ house?
Brian was suppose to be manning the smoker today. Instead he is doing a rear brake job on our SUV. He has to be done before our drive to Columbus this Tuesday. My mom wanted ribs and a brisket. Unless Brian gets done awful early it might just be hamburgers and hotdogs. It is too early to know yet. Maybe one of my brothers will decide to be a man and do it but probably not. lol Hope you get to enjoy a BBQ this weekend too.
That’s great that Brian can do the work on the SUV himself. I just paid the dealership to replace my front wheel hubs and they still don’t sound right, lol. It doesn’t matter what’s on the BBQ menu as long as you all have a good time celebrating the holiday together. I hope your appointment on July 7 goes well. That’s the pre-appointment, not the actual surgery, right?
This rear brake job is not going well. Thankfully one of our neighbors graciously offered to run Brian to the parts store. One of the brakes he ordered was messed up. He is aggravated that this is not going well so far.
The surgery consultation is the 7th. I hope not but I think I have a few tests to ahead of me before the actual surgery. My liver blood work was not good. I just want this done and over with! 🙂
Oh, no, what a bummer. Lucky that the parts store is open today, July 4th. I hope you’ll be able to schedule the surgery and get it done. I truly hope it’ll be what you need so you can be healthy again. Let me know what happens, Laura, and all the best.
Kiki is pretty, and I love the lip gloss color. I feel like I may have a lip gloss in that shade from another brand.

Kiki is one of my favorites. I hope you do have a similar lipgloss shade. It’s so great over peaches and corals or even on its own!
Skinny Dip is so pretty and natural!

Yes, Skinny Dip is a pale nude shade. Truth be told, a little too light for me but pretty just the same
I still haven’t tried anything from Eddie Funkhouser, but these are stunning! I know Marcia is a huge fan of the line, and she’s been tempting me with his products for quite some time! Your swatches are so luscious and juicy looking! LOVE!

Very Nice shades! The packaging reminds me of Make-Up Forever. I recently bought two organizers for $6.99 at Office Depot. If the sun comes back out for me to get some good pics, I may do a post on organizing your lip products. I also had a very random storage situation.

Skinny Dip really is pretty, though a tad too light for my coloring
It seems so silly but there’s some boxes I can’t part with either. lol These are really pretty. I like corals and rosie pinks. Super fun win too. Congratulations!
Yes, because he autographed it, I can’t throw it out. But I guess I should fold it up and save it someplace. The shades are so pretty in person!!
They have such a pretty line of colors! I love the color of Skinny Dip.

I’m glad to hear that you’ve had good luck with all the EF products you’ve tried. I wish Rite Aid carried the line around here so I could easily check out the other products.
Ooh, pretty shades. I have one of his eyeshadow compacts. Good stuff.
I’m glad to hear that you had good results with the eye shadow, Rachel. I haven’t had a chance to try them yet, but that’ll be next! Thanks for weighing in on them, especially since I was just reporting briefing on the lippies.
My poor lipsticks are all laying around in a drawer in my makeup cart, and it’s so easy to forget about half of them. Every so often I like to rummage through the drawer, and I’m amazed at what has been ignored – so sad! lol I do love Skinny Dip, it’s so soft and wearable!

Yes, mine are in a variety of storage containers. I should probably at least put them all together. I’m glad I found these. Skinny Dip would be great on you!
Those lippies are gorgeous. I haven’t tried this brand but I plan to. It’s on my list. 😀

I’m wishing that I could find EF makeup at Rite Aid near me. I don’t know if RA still carries the line and it just isn’t in stores around here or if it’s no longer at that chain. I really like to see makeup in person before buying it, if possible. I hope you can find some near you. The lipsticks/gloss are so easy to wear, the perfect weight, the right amount of hydration. Love ’em.
I loooove Eddie’s lippies! I received a few nude shades last Christmas, and they’re almost nubbed 🙂
They’re so easy to wear, just hydrating enough!
LOVE that coral lipgloss! I’m really falling back into love with coral shades! <3

So glad you liked EF Allison! I Kiki is my go to lippie to brighten my pale face. Now you need the Belle de Jour gloss!

Kiki works so well on me too! I’m impressed with the lippies for sure. I’ve looked for EF at the Rite Aid stores around here, but came up empty, boo hoo.
I’ve loved the EF things I’ve tried so far! I have a few of his eyeshadows, and his concealer is pretty nice! I think he’s cute, too. ;P

I agree, I think it’s very cute. I’m curious about the other products in the line. I wish they were more easily available since I hate buying makeup online.
Those look like really pretty colors.
