A Cleanser for Everyone: Ageless Derma Oil Free Purifying Facial Cleanser Gel

Ageless Derma is a brand of physician-grade skincare and makeup products developed using advances in biotechnology and natural ingredients. The business was started 10 years ago by Dr. Farid Mostamand in conjunction with his Focus Med Spa in California where the focus is on non-invasive skincare techniques.

I’m a long-time fan of Ageless Derma products: Loose Mineral Foundation (review), Daily Mineral Guard Sunscreen (review), Stem Cell & Peptide Anti-Wrinkle Cream (review), and Special Clay Mask (review). So I was happy to have a chance to try the Oil Free Purifying Facial Cleanser Gel.

I have dry, sensitive skin, and I often use cream cleansers because I don’t want to strip my skin. I wondered how Ageless Derma Oil Free Purifying Facial Cleanser Gel would work with my particular skin issues? From its name, I thought it would be perfect for someone with oily skin, but maybe not for me.

Using the Cleanser

What was it like to use the cleanser gel? It’s a not overly thick (a good thing!), almost clear gel with a light citrus scent. It foams up and feels gentle on my skin. I wash it off, and my skin feels very clean and fresh. It doesn’t feel even the least bit tight or dry…though of course, I apply my serum and moisturizer afterwards. So I discovered that it was perfect for my skin, too!

Part of the Organic and Natural Product Line

Ageless Derma Oil Free Purifying Facial Cleanser Gel is part of the Ageless Derma Organic and Natural line, and it is made from natural and some organic ingredients. The Ageless Derma website, which I have always found extremely informative, gives a detailed description of the product and the origin and function of its key ingredients. It states that the cleanser is oil-free, and it doesn’t strip the skin of oils. I can attest to that!

Two key ingredients in the cleanser are organic aloe and organic chamomile extracts. Aloe was chosen as an ingredient because of its anti-inflammatory characteristics that calm and soothe skin that has been exposed to the sun. I hope I’ll have some left to use next summer, or I’ll have to buy more. In addition, aloe can stimulate cell growth and repair damaged cells. I often associate chamomile with gentleness, but it too has anti-inflammatory powers and is also an anti-oxidant that helps fight damage due to free radicals. Wow, this cleanser has some serious skincare benefits besides cleansing!
