Being stuck at home during the nicest days of summer is not my idea of a good time. Yesterday I had a long telephone visit with my old friend Amy who lives in Nashville, and that definitely brightened my mood. Today, however, I relied on a tube of new-to-me SaTrell Beauty lipgloss to make me feel better.

SaTrell Beauty appeared on my radar a few weeks ago. However, the brand was started in 2017 by entrepreneur Nichole Wright, She named SaTrell Beauty after her two sons, Samuel and Dontrell. The core values of her brand are passion, trust and boldness. I love that, and I love supporting women-owned businesses.
Nichole’s fun lipglosses, lip scrubs, and 10-free non-toxic nail polishes are cruelty-free, vegan and free from harsh chemicals. As a woman of color, Nichole created her beauty products to be inclusive and to compliment all skin tones. Her lipglosses and nail polishes represent a nice variety of shades.
SaTrell Beauty Lipgloss
I was sent Sparkle lipgloss to try out. Sparkle looks silvery with lots of different tiny flecks of color when I look at it through the clear tube.
On my lips, Sparkle is translucent and has a wonderful radiance and, well, sparkle.
I wish my camera captured the sparkle better, but you can see it in the swatch on my arm.
It doesn’t have visible glitter particles (though I can sort of feel them if I press my lips together), Sparkle just looks celebratory! I have worn it on its own, and on top of colored lipstick, and I love it both ways.
The lipgloss has a flat applicator that is very easy to use.
The best part about SaTrell Beauty lipgloss is the formula. It is a FANTASTIC lipgloss formula. It is viscous, juicy, hydrating, not sticky, and it stays put. It’s everything that I would want in a lipgloss formula.
SaTrell Beauty lipgloss has the sweet caramel scent that a number of lipgloss brands seem to have. But the scent doesn’t stick around. It disappears on my lips immediately, just the way I like it.
There are 12 lipgloss shades including clear. Since I have only tried Sparkle, I can’t really speak about the other shades but from the photos on the SaTrell Beauty website, they appear to be translucent so that they give the lips a hint of color. The shades include nudes/neutrals, pinks, reds, coral, and purple.
Individual lipglosses containing 0.25 fl. oz./7g are priced at $16, while the three sets of unique lipgloss duos (pinks, vibrants and metallics) are priced at $20 for the two. Check out the SaTrell website to see all the shades.
I love this formula, so I would like to try some other shades. My secret wish is that Nichole would make some opaque glosses in the future because you know how much I love opaque lipgloss to wear on their own. But in the meantime, I love Sparkle as a comfy and fun topper on my colored lipsticks.
