Abib Skincare: Good Morning & Night Secret Plan

A few weeks ago, I introduced you to a new-to-the-U.S. skincare brand from Korea, Abib. As I mentioned in that post, I received a number of skincare products from Abib, and I have been trying them over the past couple of months.

PR Sample, Affiliate Links, Informational Links

I just finished up Abib Good Morning & Night Secret Plan, a limited time intensive series of serums to rev up dry, tired or dull skin. The set consists of a handsome metal tin with 10 ampoules nestled in plastic foam to keep them intact.

The set is meant to be used over a 5 day period with two different serums each day:

  • 5 clear ampoules that you use in the morning with triple hyaluronic acid and other botanical hydrators to deeply moisturize dry, parched skin
  • 5 translucent black ampoules that you use before bed with hemp seed oil for radiance as well as other ingredients for softness, smoothness and hydration.

The way I opened each ampoule was I wrapped it in a towel and snapped off the top. Unlike glass ampoules, the top snaps off cleanly and you can’t get cut. And there are no glass shards to worry about.

Next, I would pour out some of the serum into my hands and press it into my face and neck skin. It absorbed and dried within a couple of minutes. To me, both serums felt intensely hydrating. I especially loved the night serum because some ingredient(s) made my skin feel soft, smooth, plumped, and just happy.

Each ampoule contains 1.5 ml of clear, fragrance-free serum, and they were designed to be used up completely. However, 1.5 ml is more than you think! I tried putting on all 1.5 ml, but honestly I just didn’t have enough face and neck skin to use it all up at once! So I ended up putting some tape on the top of the remaining part of the ampoule. Then I used up the remaining serum over the next couple of days. I hope that the serum didn’t lose its efficacy during the second and even third day of use, but there was too much serum for me to use at once. So rather than using up the set over the course of 5 days as intended, it lasted me more than 2 weeks.

Now that I have finished the set, I am trying to think of what I could do with the metal box. It is so nice that I hate to just recycle it. What do I have that I need to store that is long and flat? Eye makeup brushes, maybe? Hmmm. Any suggestions are welcome!

I really liked the Abib Good Morning & Night Secret Plan. In fact, it was one of my favorite products this year. Because this is a special treatment plan, I am not going to buy another set right now, but I intend to in the fall once the weather starts getting colder and my skin needs a boost in terms of moisture and radiance.

Abib has a brand new global website in English (although still not completely perfect English!) that is easy to use. Shipping costs are based on weight, and packages are shipped from Korea via DHL. Once the package is shipped,  it seems to be quick, about 5 days. Free shipping kicks in for orders over $100. Abib Good Morning & Night Secret Plan is priced at $44.

Abib has an interesting “review event“. On the first day of every month, they choose three people who reviewed an Abib product that they purchased on the website, i.e. “Best Reviews”, to receive a 30% off discount code to be used on one future purchase of $30+ in the coming year. Worth a shot!
