Alleyoop – a beauty brush that’s multi-tasking

  I purchased this

When Allison shared her latest IPSY bag with you there was an ALLEYOOP Multi-Tasker 4-in-1 Makeup Brush among her treasures. I’ve had one from my February BoxyCharm box that I’ve been using and having a ball with.

Everyone loves a new toy – an American Girl doll, the newest video game or even a new bicycle seat like my husband just bought – and the ALLEYOOP is my most fun toy of late. At first I wondered what it was all about and then I started using it and saw the 4 useful parts. If you have any plans to travel you really should consider this brush. It’s a space saver and every part is useful.

Look at the biggest brush, the Powder/Contour section. It works for blending foundations and powder, for adding bronzer to help contour your face. It’s comfortable to use and a great size.  I usually have it attached to the opposite side, the Blending Sponge. This sponge is great for liquid and cream products. I use it first to smooth out my foundation as I would a beauty blender sponge, next I wipe it off and it becomes a great tool for my cream blush. It also helps blend away any lines left from concealer.

Under the Blending Sponge is the Medium Shadow Brush – you’ll love this for application and blending. You can easily do your whole eye with this brush though I think you’ll find the brow brush to be useful for detail work.

It’s called an Angled Brow/Liner Brush since it’s great for multi-tasks. Fill in your brows, line your eyes, do smaller details on your eye. All with this one section.

I am more excited about the ALLEYOOP MULTI-TASKER than I am about anything else in my last two BoxyCharm subscription boxes. I really use this and I know if I go anywhere this is the easiest thing to take (along with my trusty tweezers).

I hope you were able to receive one in either of these subscriptions but if not this $28 tool will be the best toy you can find. Are you into makeup toys?

    1. When I first noticed it in the Boxycharm I didn’t pay attention to it. Then I realized that you could unscrew it to find more parts and I was thrilled to use it.

  2. Marcia, I used my Alleyoop yesterday for the first time. I used all the brushes but the slant brow/liner brush, and I liked it. I used the blender to apply foundation, the shadow brush for shadow of course, and I used the slant powder brush for my cream blush. My bad because the soft bristles are not meant for applying or even spreading cream, but now I know. I will use my Alleyoop a lot! Loved your review and the adorable froggies in your pix!

    1. Allison, I’m a kid at heart. I bought the froggies for my granddaughter but kept them for myself. The e/s brush is good with powder but you’re right, not with cream blush.

      1. The frogs are so cute, I don’t blame you one bit!

  3. Nice! All in one is up my alley. Do you know what kind of plastic is used?

    1. Michelle there’s no information about the plastic, just that it’s made in the US.
