The other day, I received an unexpected gift in the mail. A generous sister blogger completely surprised me with two beauty products that she thought would suit me. I must say she knows me and my taste well even though we have never met in person.
Today, I will show you one of them because I just couldn’t wait!
KBShimmer polish: Stay Toasty My Friends. Instantly, I knew this was my kind of shade. It’s a multichrome polish that is yellow gold, copper gold, and hot pink with some green streaks every now and then. It also has some tiny gold flakes that add to the bling. It’s so amazing looking that I couldn’t take my eyes off of it since I put it on. KBShimmer describes it as “rosé-colored chrome that shifts to golden champagne”. Yes.
It’s interesting because indoors I see more gold and gold-green,
but outdoors it’s decidedly metallic hot pink.
When I was outdoors jogging this afternoon, Stay Toasty My Friends seemed liked the perfect autumn polish for a pink lover like me. The polish seemed to be the perfect accessory to the autumn leaves in my ‘hood.
I started off with a coat of KBShimmer Fillin’ Groovy Base Coat. I mentioned recently that I was disappointed when Fillin’ Groovy Base Coat arrived and I saw that it was ivory colored. Though I usually prefer clear base coats, Fillin’ Groovy is a translucent ivory so I don’t have to worry about not covering it completely. Plus, I love the wide, easy to use brush.
Next I applied KBShimmer Stay Toasty My Friends. Each coat dried really quickly. The brush is slightly less wide than the base coat brush which is too bad because I love wide brushes, but it is still flat, easy to use and it picks up the tiny flakes with ease. Though this is a metallic polish, there were no streaks. And it covered completely in two coats.
Then I finished off with a coat of fast drying Glisten & Glow Top Coat.
So far, I have been really impressed with KBShimmer in terms of the gorgeousness of their shades, how easy it is to apply, how fast it dries, and how well it lasts for me.
