  1. Happy after Turkey Day. 😉
We also go elsewhere nowadays. But I kinda like not having all of the leftovers anymore. I can do maybe one more meal and then it’s like, “turkey and stuffing….again…?….. ugh.” LOL

    1. I know you’re right, Rach! I was helping serve at my cousin’s, and I didn’t get enough turkey or stuffing this year. I got one measly slice of turkey, so I especially miss the leftovers this time around. I may make a turkey breast one of these days. But we had leftover desserts. Just finished the apple strudel and there’s one more little chocolate-peanut butter square that I am hiding. Did you have a nice day? I did. In spite of not quite enough turkey for me, it all worked out. Do any shopping yet? Any Black Friday makeup scores for you? I just splurged on a Laura Mercier warm neutral travel palette. Hoping that the ebates cash back kicked in 😉

  2. Oooo you’ve reminded me that I DO still have nearly half of my almost flourless super-dark chocolate cake left! I often get to keep the rest of it as after one piece most people give up and cry mercy. I think it’s starting to be known as the “death by chocolate” cake. hahaha
I’m sorry you didn’t get enough turkey. If you were at my table I’d share! My uncle makes a nice turkey, don’t get me wrong, but one slice is generally enough for me as I really prefer duck or pheasant instead. There’s an inn/restaurant sort of close that does game pie in the fall and I should see if I can get their recipe. THAT would be fabulous. But then I’d have to share with everyone…… so maybe not? *selfishly hides the game pie*
The Laura Mercier palettes are always nice looking. I think that one was a good choice! It sounds like you exercised a slight bit more restraint than I did, lol. I went in for a few of Sephora’s $10 deals (the Josie Maran hand creme/polish remover set, L’Occitane Almond duo, and the Nest trio) and picked up a new Lancome foundation. I’d been waffling between the Lancome Nude Miracle, Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide, and YSL’s Fusion Ink. Overall I think I like the YSL more, but it’s also the most expensive and I need to be matched at the counter because while the sample I had was close I think it was just a bit too dark for my winter pallor. I really like the LM too but the packaging is just awful (so messy!) so I thought I’d hold out to see if they finally do something about that, as I’m certainly not the only one who has issues with it. Thus Lancome won by process of elimination. Other than that, Tatcha is having their 20% Friends and Family sale, so I decided not to even look at other cosmetics and just splurge on skincare instead!

    1. Duck and pheasant, how exotic! Our family sticks to the basics, I’m afraid. I have never had pheasant, truth be told.

I passed Sephora today, and I so wanted to nip in and see what was left among the $10 deals. I would love the L’Occitane Almond especially. On the foundation front, I just bought more IT Cosmetics CC Cream during their sale. And I have hardly used my MUFE Velvet Fndn. I was very curious about the YSL Fusion Ink, but no one recommends it for bone dry skin like mine. I hope you do go for it because I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. Speaking of Tatcha, I went to the site yesterday but even with the 20% it was still too much for me. I recently splurged on pricey skincare from Lift Lab so I’m afraid the blue body cream that I am dying for will have to wait. The LM travel palette is because I decided against the UD travel palette, and this weekend, I took 3 palettes with me. This has got to stop, lol. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend!
