Beauty Reviews & Tutorials from Beauty Spotlight Team 27 June 2015

Happy Summer Weekend! This past week I went to the beach for the first time this season. And of course, the sun went behind a cloud and stayed there for just about the entire afternoon. Supposedly the ocean was 54 degrees which is mighty cold. But I stuck my feet in, and I think it was at least 64 degrees. Not frigid, but too cold for me to swim especially without the sun being out to warm me up afterwards. And unfortunately, this doesn’t sound like it’s going to be a beach weekend here in suburban Boston. Cool on Saturday, and rain on Sunday, boo hoo. Hope the weather is cooperating with your plans whatever they may be!

Here are this week’s beauty tips, tutorials, and reviews from the members of the Beauty Spotlight Team. There’s an amazing list of great reads here. Hope you enjoy them 🙂

That is entirely my kind of beach weekend, LOL! I prefer walking and wading anyways, and sizzling summer sunshine has never been tops on my list. I’ll take cool and cloudy anytime! And if a little rain means I can have the beach to myself, well that might be even better! 😛

    1. Well, it’s been a torrential downpour with high winds since last night, Rach! There won’t be anyone on the beach in this, lol. We went to the Peabody Essex Museum last Sunday when it also rained, so what to do today? Grocery shopping!! You must have lovely skin since you’re not a sun worshipper. What are you up to this weekend? Hope you don’t have to work.

Grocery shopping can be fun. We might hit Trader Joe’s later today if we’ve got time.
It’s rained so much here of late that I’d started to wonder if we weren’t developing a monsoon season. But it’s sunny today! I didn’t realise I’d sent tropical-storm-ohio your way. Whoops. lol
I would usually be at work today but I got my coworker to cover so I can go to the opening reception of an old college friend’s gallery show. It’s not the Peabody, but I really wouldn’t be at all surprised to see her paintings in museums someday. She’s quite good.
Hehehe and whatever loveliness (though some may just say vampire) my sun avoidance gains, trust me when I say that my raccoon eyes make up for it! lololololol
Have fun on your grocery shopping trip! If I could banish the wind I’d come camp out on your beach with my umbrella!

        1. Come anytime, Rach!! Have fun at the gallery opening! Let me know if her works makes it up to the Boston area. I’m always looking for emerging artists!
