On Thursday night, my book club had its annual holiday get-together and Yankee book swap. It was at my friend’s house in the neighborhood, so it couldn’t have been more convenient. The dinner was divine: a fabulous charcuterie board, boeuf bourguignon, creamy mashed potatoes, and salad, and tiramisu for dessert. Yum! The book that I picked during the swap, sadly got swapped by someone else, and I got the wine pairing and cook book written by a local chef that she had chosen. Oh well, it was fun, and we often share the books. What was also fun was the opportunity to get a little dressed up. I went shopping in my closet, and I found a deep purple velvet jacket with a hood that I completely forgot I owned! So I wore it with a black crushed velvet top and black pants. And I put on makeup, woohoo! If only I had remembered to take a photo!
I hope you’re having some pre-holiday fun this weekend. And I hope your holiday shopping is either finished or on track. Enjoy! And if you can, take a quick look at this week’s Beauty Spotlight Team roundup xoxo
