Throughout my life, I have always thought that skincare was extremely important. Taking care of your skin from a young age can help slow (but not stop) the hands of time. And a good skincare routine with great products certainly has worked for me.
I’ve tried a zillion skincare products over the years. And the number and variety of skincare products that I’ve tried has only increased since I became a beauty blogger. There are a lot of good products out there!
Recently I was given the opportunity to try a product from a new skincare brand that is just launching this month, September 2015: Bellatorra Skin Care. In addition to being available on the company website, Bellatorra will be sold at Barney’s. That alone tells you something about the brand. Barney’s only carries the best!
A Little Background on Bellatorra’s Origins
Bellatorra was started by Nathan Halsey who is devoted to health and wellness. Throughout his life, he has sought peak performance achieved through good nutrition. Working with scientists and exercise physiologists, he created a line of nutritional supplements and formulations to help achieve peak physical performance.
From there, Halsey’s passion for a body that can achieve its best grew to include anti-aging products. He created Bellatorra Skin Care, a line of products that target the causes of aging: environmental stressors and internal triggers. The products home in on uneven skin tone, loss of firmness, lines, wrinkles and sensitivity by using purified active ingredients such as botanicals, vitamins, minerals, and plant stem cells that mirror the skin’s own ingredients. Bellatorra Cellular Renewal Complex Advanced Facial Moisturizer
I’ve been using Bellatorra Cellular Renewal Complex for about 7 weeks. From the first pump that I smoothed on my dry skin, I knew I had found something special. Bellatorra Cellular Renewal Complex is a thick but relatively lightweight gel cream. In fact, the gel cream is a perfect weight – not heavy but not watery, truly perfect. It melts onto my skin. One pump of this precious cream is enough to cover my entire face. My face breathes a sigh of relief every time I apply this moisturizer. My skin also feels plumped and hydrated, and that look and feeling lasts all day.
Although my skin is dry, mature skin, I think this would be a perfect moisturizer for all but very oily skin types because the cream itself is neither heavy nor too lightweight. It is not greasy at all. And just about all women would love the ingredients and skin benefits of this advanced facial moisturizer.
It has a gorgeous fig scent that you can just barely smell when you apply it. Once it’s on your face, the scent is gone.

Bellatorra Cellular Renewal Complex is priced at $295. Yes, it’s expensive, but I truly think it’s worth it. The ingredients and the technology that went into its making are amazing. Plus the bottle will last me a long time. (You can see above that I’ve still got a lot left!) I hope to be able to time my purchase with the Barney’s special event where they give you a huge bag of cosmetic goodies with a cosmetics or fragrance purchase over $200. In fact, the goody bag promotion is going on now, and they usually have it again around the holiday season.

It is pricey for sure, but it is a perfect moisturizer: the perfect weight, the perfect light scent, deep hydration, great ingredients. I love it!

This sounds luxurious (and has a matching price tag)! I usually cringe if I spend over $50 on something but I could see this product being worth $295… I just don’t think I’d pay it at this point in my life. Maybe I’ll try it out when I’m making the big bucks in a few more years. 😉
It is a lot of money, Jessie. I’ve never paid that much for a moisturizer either, but I’m considering it! I really love it so maybe during the Barney’s cosmetics gift with purchase event during the holidays. I just got my goody bag for this event at Barney’s NY, and it is equal to the amount I spent to qualify.
Did that moisturizer come in a fancy box like and iphone?! It’s luxurious just looking at it!

Yes, it is pricey, Kate. I am really enjoying this moisturizer and thankfully, I have a couple of months use of it to go. I just got a Barneys NY goody bag, and it was worth about $200 so I may buy a new Bellatorra Moisturizer during Barneys’ holiday event so I can get the moisturizer and a new goody bag at the same time. We’ll see
