One thing I’ve learned through all my travails this past summer is that wherever I go, my skin is with me. Whether I’m home and healthy or sick and doing poorly I only have one face and I need to treat it with the utmost respect.
When I was in the hospital there was nothing I could do to take care of myself. Between the pain and the lack of being able to use a bathroom properly I wasn’t able to do any kind of routine. But once I was sent on my way I knew that it was time to get back to what I was happy using prior to this: Fleur & Bee Youth Fairy Moisturizer and “A” Game Retinol Serum. Both of these were what I used while I was in a rehabilitation center. I chose those because 1) I knew I could trust them, 2) they are affordable in case they “disappeared”, 3) I needed some reliable skincare.
Both of these contain retinol which is an ingredient you need to ease into. “A” Game especially is for those of us who want to ease into using a retinol product without worrying about it being too strong. Fleur & Bee paired 0.1% retinol with several vegan superfoods (like green tea, jojoba oil, and dandelion) to create a high-performance retinol serum that is still gentle and less likely to cause irritation. They are a company that uses plant-powered skincare to take your skin to the next level.
The “A” Game is an anti-aging serum that gently works to help firm the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots, and uneven texture. It was created for those who are beginning a retinol journey but it works just as well for those of us who’ve already been on that road.
Its light creamy texture melds onto your cleansed skin with ease, follow up with your favorite moisturizer. I’m finding that both Youth Fairy and H2O Yeah Hydrating Moisturizer are winners with this serum. There’s a very small amount of fragrance upon application but it’s not noticeable for very long at all. As someone super sensitive to fragrance I’m thrilled stating this.
The hero ingredients are Retinol, Rosehip Oil, Aloe Vera, Squalene, Coenzyme Q10, Vitamin E, Jojoaba Oil, and Green Tea. All natural items without long chemical names. These are free of artificial fragrances and parabens and sulfates. Exactly what your skin wants.
Taking care of my skin in this way made it easier to actually look in a mirror when I was home and back to using cleansers I enjoy as well as other skincare I missed. The beauty of it all isn’t in the color cosmetics I enjoy but in the way my skin has responded to Fleur & Bee and hasn’t let me down.

The Fleur & Bee Retinol Serum is clearly a wonderful skincare product for those who are just beginning their retinol journey or who have sensitive skin.
