Since we’re all thinking holiday gifts, I wanted to share two Bite Beauty lip products that I bought recently and have mentioned in at least one of my other posts:
- Best Bite Remix: Mini-Pencil Set
- Luminous Creme Lipstick Duos
I was late to Bite Beauty, but I really wanted to try this brand especially for lipstick. Bite Beauty is a natural, “better-for-you” brand, and I find that especially important for makeup that I wear on my lips and may end up ingesting.
I bought both of these products this fall when they were introduced for the holiday season. They’re a wonderful way to affordably get to know Bite Beauty lippies.
Best Bite Remix
This holiday red gift-ready collection contains four mini versions of BITE’s High Pigment Pencil in a purse-sized tin compact.
Inside the flip-top rubberized case, there’s a mirror.
The set is perfect for travel or for home. For me, it was a great introduction to Bite Beauty lip pencils.
The set has two shades from the permanent collection – Pomegranate, a perfect bright red, and Rhubarb, a plum-rose as well as the new limited-edition holiday shades Winterberry, a deep raspberry, and Sablé, a peachy nude.
Right now, I’m wearing Winterberry, and most days when I’m doing errands around town, I’ll wear the nude shades Rhubarb or Sable.
I love these pencils, though I’m not sure why Bite Beauty calls them pencils because they look like crayons to me. I guess it’s because they have another lip product that they call a crayon. The pencils twist up. They are easy to apply, with full coverage in one swipe. Neither hydrating nor drying, they last for a few hours on me.
The tin with the four shades, each 0.05 oz., is priced at $25.
When I was at Sephora during the VIB event, I noticed the Lipstick Duos that are packaged almost like Christmas tree ornaments or as pre-packaged gifts with lip-shaped gift tags that you can hang on a tree if you so desire. They come in a cute box that shows the dual ended lipstick inside.
There are 3 shades pairs that you can wear individually or mix to create your own shade:
- Vivid: Palomino – vibrant magenta – and Violet- vibrant purple
- Neutral: Musk – cool muted pink brown – and Lychee – light cool toned pink
- Reds: Scarlet – deep burgundy – and Poppy – apple red
I passed on the Vivid duo, and I bought the Neutral and Reds for myself and another Neutral duo to give as a gift. Like the pencils, they are easy to apply, are neither hydrating nor drying, and they last a few hours on my lips.
Each duo has 0.05 oz. of lipstick on each end of the charcoal grey, rubberized tube. And each duo is priced at $12.
The duos are also part of a larger very limited edition Mix ‘N Mingle Lip Minis Collector’s Edition that includes 10 lippies including the Lush Fruit Glosses and Matte Creme Lip Crayons that are different from the lip pencils above. Each of the Lip Minis components sells individually for $12, too.
It may be a little late in the game for these limited edition holiday sets, but see if you can find them. They are great values and make great gifts!

It is a lovely purpled red, Gio. This set was a great way for me to try the brand, and the Duos are equally fabulous!
Poppy looks like my favorite shade! I’m a bit sad I didn’t grab anything from Bite while in the US :(.

I’m still late for the party. It’s almost shameful at this point but I still haven’t tried anything from this brand. But is it Date/Fig or Musk/Lychee? Just wonderin’ 😉
I’ll keep you updated on the YSL Ink. My skin is on the drier side and I still really enjoyed the sample I had. Hopefully I can get my mitts on another in a more appropriate shade and give it an even better test drive. Re Tatcha, if you ever decide to venture down that rabbit hole, try the ritual discovery set. You get a bunch of travel sized products in one go and the cost/amount is a deal.
It’s Date/Fig, Rach. Musk/Lychee was last year, I believe. Did the wrong names post? Thank you for the tip on Tatcha. I will do that, and just for the heck of it, I’ll check the price today even tho’ I don’t have a cent. And keep me posted on the YSL foundation. I still think my skin is too dry for it, but I’d love to get a sample. Next Sephora trip, I’ll ask for one. They will usually make up a sample so I can try the right shade, hopefully.

Sable is very pretty. In person, it’s a light, slightly peach nude. And I love them all. Rhubarb is my MLBB everyday shade, and I adore Poppy. And then, there’s the lip duos!
I like Sable too — a light peachy nude. But all the shades are gorgeous!

I have the 4-pencil set and I love it. Winterberry is a perfect holiday bright color. I’m curious about the dual-sided minis, but I hear they are suuuuuper tiny, and not worth the $12
I don’t find them super-tiny at all. In fact, they’ll last me quite a while. I would much rather have the dual-sided mini for $12 than one of the regular shades for $24 that I’ll never use up before it needs to be thrown out. I have so much makeup, Nidia, that if available, I buy minis of everything now.
I have a special place in my heart for Rhubarb color, it’s just the perfect nude.

Agata, I’ve wanted to try the Bite Beauty lipsticks for a while now. Although I use regular lipsticks, I am happier wearing a natural, better-for-you formula on my lips. These minis gave me a chance to try 8 new shades for the price of 2 full size that I would probably never finish up anyway. Hope you can find them!

You know I really like Bite’s lipsticks but I really detest the scents (smells too much like wine/alcohol to me). I hope they’re able to dial down the scent enough for me to wear their products

Mai, that is so interesting. I didn’t notice anything, and you got me so curious I just went back and smelled the pencils and the lipstick duos again. There’s almost no smell, just the faintest maybe floral but hardly anything. And I am hypernosmic, lol. You must have me beat!
I fell in love with Bite Beauty Lip products this year and the love has continued since! HA! They are some of the best lip products I’ve ever used! I got really excited when I saw these lip minis available at Target because they are affordable and they are great products! All of them look gorgeous on you!

Yes, the Bite Beauty mini-pencil set is awesome. I love the red pencil case it comes in too. But the mini Lip Duos are also wonderful, and I think I use them even more 🙂

Winterberry is a wonderful shade. It’s a limited edition, but I think they should add it to their permanent collection.
I’ve heard nothing but great things about the Bite Beauty lipsticks! I’m most drawn to Scarlet and Poppy, but of course those are the shades I don’t wear very often. I’m trying to get out of my color comfort zone of MLBB lipsticks!
Sammi, I just bought one of the Bite Beauty Lip Crayons in Maraschino. I am addicted to their lippies. You must try them no matter which shades you go with!!
I was quite disappointed in myself for not getting the Bite Beauty Remix while it was still available at Sephora online because now it’s sold out. To be fair though, I discovered this quite late, but Bite Beauty is definitely a brand I will look out for next year.

Thanks Allison! I’m eyeing those as well, but that will depend on how things within the next couple of weeks play out. It’s tricky pre-ordering this time of the year, which is why I tend to do my holiday shopping early. Hopefully, I can get my hands on these. 🙂
